As an Xbox One owner I gotta say I'm pretty miffed about this, I guess its because its my most anticipated title for this year and I wanted it to look really good. I'm not saying its going to look terrible but everyone appreciates good visuals on their console of choice...which is the Xbox One (and I have both Xbox One and PS4).

It's not Bioware's fault that the Xbox One has inferior hardware, though.

Really? AF has been basically a free feature for years on PC, much less taxing than AA, yet consoles still don't do it. I don't get it...

It's really not 'free', though. It's pretty bandwidth-intensive.

PCs get away with it because the processor and GPU have wholly separate buses, whereas consoles have a single data bus that is shared between the two components.

The disparity between the 2 consoles is not that vast. In the end they are still both mid range gaming pcs'.

Shadow of Mordor is 1080p on Ps4, it's 900p on xbox one, but look almost identical. "FACT"

There are a lot of games that have been able to get Xbox One to 1080p  though. Some even at 1080p 60fps

I'm not that bothered 900p is alright by me.

Microsoft really screwed the pooch.  I am terrified to see what the Xbox One version looks like.

While it looks like my rig can run Inquisition on almost max settings and I am taking the PC route for this game, I dread to imagine how Evolve and Advanced Warfare are going to look when I finally play them on my Xbox.

I think a modern integrated system could still handle AF reasonably well (though I suppose you could be hitting on-package memory).

Hopefully there's some new technique soon for AF that's not so costly. 1080p gaming with distorted textures is not exactly ideal.

Regardless, I don't think XONE owners will be disappointed, when they have it in hand.

On an average 42 inch 1080p tv there isn't any noticeable difference.

I think it's more a function of the speed and width of the bus, no?

CPU access can eat into bandwidth on the consoles (and it's even non-proportional), but there's not enough to work with regardless.

To my understanding, yes, you're correct to a point.

The main thing is having a dedicated bus of super fast GDDR5 makes AF seem free on PCs, when the reality is a bit more complicated than that.

I'm not disappointed, as gameplay and story is more important, but its a pity my Xbone can't live up to a playstations resolution.

It will look just like the PS4 version. A 40% difference in resolution is barely discernible on your average 40-something 1080p TV (unless you're sitting too close to the screen, which you probably won't be).

I think being 'terrified' is a bit going too far, to be honest.

To be honest when the game releases I'm not going to care what resolution its at. I'll just be happy that its here and I get to play it.

Congrats for the PS4 owners! The game will look terrific in the system!

As an Xbox One user, I have canceled my pre-order.

Glad to see bioware didn't pull a ubisoft and took time with all system instead of bottlenecking one.

Xbox one isn't has good has a ps 4 on somethings, despite the fact some people have hurt feelings. Keep in mind x box fans you getting at-least the first story dlc first. So is an up side.

Is there any problem here?

I'm just commenting on the topic and showing my frustration.

Again, I'm happy for the PS4 and PC owners.

Two days ago I was so excited talking to Aaryn Flynn and now this.

Because it's 900...? I mean you are free to do whatever with your own money, but if you were really excited for this game and a slightly lower resolution makes you not buy it...

It's not Bioware's fault that the Xbone and PS4 have different hardware configurations.

And like everybody has been saying, the difference between 900p and 1040p is barely noticeable on an ordinary HD TV.

Cancelling your preorder is an overreaction to something that simply won't be as a big of a problem as you're imagining.

It's just my console of choice, plus the 10 percent discount (EA Access) on the game/dlc, better controller, better interface, suspend/resume, all the things that make Xbox One unique compared to the PS4. The only games I have for the PS4 at the moment are their exclusives and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
