I don't really mind much regardless, I think the AC:Unity parity thing is kind of stupid, but whatever.

PS4 does have gorgeous graphics, you're pretty ignorant if you don't think so. Inquisition is running at high end settings at 1080p, so really with a console, you can get everything, no need to spend extra money To build yourself a PC.

And even the XB1 version will look great, just a lower res.

And when it comes to great looking games, I think the best are all on consoles, and usually always are. In fact this year the best looking games have been on Wii U, the cheapest and weakest platform you can buy this gen.

So there.

 

Actually to be fair that's not entirely accurate. I agree with you 100% about PS4 having excellent graphics (numbers don't lie)... but with PC gaming it's different. For example, some people like myself use the PC for things other than just games... like homework, e-mails, other mundane stuff, etc. But from a purely gaming aspect, PC IS superior IF you build your rig correctly (opinion). LIke for me, I'm upgrading my rig not just for high FPS, but for ULTRA HIGH resolution--4K.

Well, the odds of me enjoying games on PC vs consoles is an order of magnitude greater. PC has more highly rated exclusive games than the Xbox 360, Ps3, Ps4 and Xbone COMBINED. Not to mention that 99% of the games that come out on those platforms also come out on PC, whereas no where near 99%, more like 30% of PC games come to consoles.

You can play any PC game from the last 3 decades on any rig if you want to while the consoles have limited or no backwards compatibility, so that comparison is a little unfair. I also seriously doubt that your 99% figure there is accurate as there are numerous Sony, Nintendo, and even some 3rd party exclusives that never released on PC. Even if you include emulators, you're still missing out on numerous pieces of content there.

I don't really get why all the pc guys bump here to explain us the obvious....that PC is better. Yet lot of people don't care they want to sit on a comfy sofa put the disc in and use the comfort of a joypad. PC gamer here who switched to console for comfort

That's really weird. I am, right now, sitting on my comfy couch too, playing Shadow of Mordor!  I must be playing on my Xbone though... but that's weird the game is running at 1440p downsampling, 60 FPS, and higher graphics levels... I couldn't be playing on ym PC on my TV, since that's impossible!

I'm actually streaming my PC games now a days, thanks to Steam. My PC stays by my desk, and when I'm playing a more casual game, I'll just beam it over to the TV.

Video gaming platform arguments are the nerd equivalent to a pissing contest.

 

I enjoy consoles because I enjoy consoles, I have played lots of games on PCs as well.  There are pluses and minuses to both.

Actually you're wrong. I'm solely a PC player now but I still recognize that there are benefits to console play. Portability, unless running off a laptop ( ) is one. comfort as mentioned before is another. And finally, there's the fact that some really cool games are console-exclusive, and short of an emulator which notoriously suck anyway, that leaves us PC users out in the cold with other good titles.

Yeah ok sales are all good and well but some people are just too uninformed to know anything about PCs, let alone how to build a good one. Doesn't make PCs less ideal in any facet, so that argument holds little ground.
