Hi,
I just watched a couple of videos for DA:I and the game looks great, can't tell a lot about the story but that is not possible until the game actually comes out I think. One thing that stood out in a negative way for me was the use of slow motion in combat.
In DAO it happened only after killing a dragon or an ogre, and tbh it was only annoying after seeing it once. Maybe if only animation played, without the slowdown it wouldn't come across as trying too hard. Now I see that we get hit-lag with almost every attack, and this feels like an anime to me. It surely will take me out of the experience, since combat happens rather frequently. It might be a detail, but then it seems to be big enough that BW decided to put it in.
There should be an option to either leave those effect occurring, limit them (slow motion only for critical hits/new record critical hits/killing a boss?) or disable it entirely (option I would surely select after the first playthrough). It certainly is not difficult or very time consuming to implement, and would give a neat option for players to customize their experience a little more.
I really hope this one turns out as good as the firs DA :)
