When I played the Last Straw stage my Hawke was a rogue. But instead of receiving a dual weapon from the Qunari I received a bow. So I armed Sebastian with it to fight those Templars and blood mages.
The specs to the qunari gifts aren't the best but they are impressive enough. They have bonus damage for humans. I liked the Arishok's view and thought it would be fitting to end the game armed with a Qunari weapon.
Do any of you do the same?
yes i use Qunari weapons even if their design doesn't make sense.
I would have, but the Celebrant is just too powerful to pass on... the rest of the team also has better weapons... like, a lot better. If they had just given those (and most other cool items) the "improves on level up" property, then I'd be all about using them. Sadly, that isn't the case.

I totally forgot about runeslots... that's why I can't really use the armors I prefer in Act 3... yeah, DA2's equipment system was too rigid. If there had at least been a way to add rune slots to armor and weapons like the merchant trick in DA:O, that would have been cool... unfortunately that wasn't the case in DA2....
