I'm not sure if this was changed but having the keep only accessible online is BS! change this! we never had to do this for dragon age or even mass effect, adding another disc or having it a downloadable would be better then having to go to a SITE!

Angry Joe-If i have to leave the game for an aspect of your game that aspect of the game has failed and you failed!

actually making it not a download is better on the fact its a decently sized program easier way is make your stuff together on the keep like you would if it was a download and link it to your EA account thus its there for your games file

i respect your opinion but reject it, for some that cant get high speed internet where they live that makes the keep is useless to them. your the first person that agrees with biowares decision ive met, i hate the idea that makes me go to a website to access something that should be accessible on the console

I like how it is, honestly. However, i definitely wouldn't mind a downloadable version, would probably use the downloaded one rather.

It needs to be in the same place for everyone.  That makes patching it much easier, and it makes the mechanism in the game that retrieves the data much smaller.

Why do you think you need highspeed?

Umm, it's not like the keep requires a super connection.

Yeah, it's kinda weird that you'd be using this site and complaining about being unable to access another site.

That's a TERRIBLE use of that quote.

Yes.

I also don't see why they couldn't add a text-based version for poor connections.  It's all about storing data - the Keep UI doesn't really need pretty pictures.  If you've ever taken an internet survey, you can use the Keep (unless they make it unnecessary bandwidth intensive).

I think there's going to be a huge number of players who will just use the default world state, if they even think about it at all.  It's really only of interest to people who played Origins and II.  I'll probably just use it once to set up past decisions and never change it again.

I think the main reason behind it being the way it is instead of a one time download or an included feature in the game is because they plan on using it for more than just Dragon Age: Inquisition, it'll most likely be expanded upon for future Dragon Age games.

How do you suggest BioWare make changes to it, then?  Or ensure that everyone has the same version so that they'll work with future games?  Or handle complaints that people lost their savegame information?

Having the Keep online solves all of these problems.

Also, downloading stuff on the consoles costs EA money.  Did you know that MS and Sony make publishers pay for the bandwidth that gets used downloading patches?

yes i did know that but having it on a site where i have to wait till im near an internet with my console to upload the keeps info to my game is more of a hassle when a downloadable (ea has the money) or a separate disk is easier hell make it where i can download it to a thumb nail and upload to my console would be great

I completely agree.  I would prefer that, as well, but that would then require that the game know that it can look more than one place for the data, which makes the game more complicated, and now requires that the users know how to choose their data source location.

People are dumb.  The developers need to take this into account.  I wish they didn't have to disadvantage the rest of us to do that, but in this case I understand (I often don't).

Yes, because Angry Joe said that when he had to leave Destiny while playing. We'll use the Keep before playing DA:I! That's a different thing.

and people are smart to do this one a site?, with the internet they should be able to find the help they need on the forums from players or bioware employers but yes i agree some people just don't understand
