I know they released the system requirements for the game today but is there anywhere to check whether my system meets the requirements?  I know my CPU is good enough, it's the graphics card I don't know about and I have no idea where to go to look.

I have an AMD Radeon HD 7450 graphics card.

I'm afraid I have no idea if it's a 1024.  How do I check?  (I'm complete rubbish about computer stuff, sorry.)

You may be able to play the game, but you are definitely NOT going to get anywhere near the best out of it.

As long as you're aware of this and satisfied, then great.

My advice would be to get the R9 270 if you can at all afford it.

i would preffer the R9 280 wich cost just a little bit more but has 3gb VRAM nut 2gb like the 270

As long as I can play it, that'll have to be enough.  Unfortunately I don't have $200 for a new graphics card.  I'll have to make due until I can get a new card.  Thanks for the recomendations though!

Graphics memory requirement is dependent on monitor resolution, if you're running a standard 1080p monitor then you'll want a graphics card with at least 2gb of memory.

I am sorry, but I have to disappoint you :( . It doesn't matter that AMD HD 7450 has 1 GB VRAM, because it's very weak graphic card .. in fact quite a lot weaker than old GeForce 8800GT which is mentioned in minimum requirements.

(HD 74xx is lowend for "office" use .. gaming series are from HD x7xx and higher .. so for example HD 7750 etc. )

So does that mean I WON'T be able to play it?  Even on low?  See this is why I'm always confused by computer stuff.

What specs should I list to see if it would run or not?  Is there a site that I can check for sure?

And when I bought this computer I specifically asked for a good graphics card because most of what I do is play computer games; I was told that this card would play most games.

Just to touch a up a bit more about this the Geforce 8800 Ultra is about 60% more in performance vs your AMD Radeon 7450.  The 4870 is about 77% more than your card. You also have to factor in the other components on your system as well. So could you run it perhaps in the very low settings. It would be lower than what the PS4 and the Xbox One will do. If all else fails and you can't run it. IF you preordered from Origin you can get your money back.

From Origin's Great Game Guarantee:

EA games purchased on Origin qualify for the Great Game Guarantee. If you don’t love it, return it!

You may return EA full game digital downloads (PC/Mac) purchased on Origin for a full refund within 24 hours after you first launch the game, within seven days from your date of purchase or within seven days from the game's release date if you pre-ordered, whichever comes first.

This is why computers confuse me so much.  With the exception of Falrach, everyone says I can't play it.  But when I went on Can You Run It, it says my video card's minimum attributes are more than what's Required.  Which should mean I can play it, on low anyway, right?  *sigh*  I just don't understand.

Can you run it website just takes your system's specs and tries to determine if it falls between the minimum and recommended requirements. Gives you an educated guess if it should be able to run it. However, that doesn't always mean if it will run well or not.

If you compare actual benchmarks using the two cards listed on the minimum requirements to yours you get this:

Yours is score is lower compared to the other two cards. Also we still don't know what CPU you're using. Might want to go the start menu and just type dxdiag and hit enter. From the window that pops up it should tell you the processor and how much ram you have.

Sorry.  My system info is:

Processor:  AMD FX™-6100 Six-Core Processor
     (6 CPUs) ~3.3GHz

Memory:  10240MB RAM

I'm not sure what other information is needed.  :/

CPU is ok just that graphics card I'm a bit worried. I'm going to say this in the most optimistic kind of way that you COULD play the game with the lowest of the low settings. It's not going to look very pretty by far and the system is going to need to push at least 30 FPS if you want things to be playable. So don't expect what you see in the screenshots to look like what you see on your machine. If anything if you have at least $150 USD to spend you can get a Nvidia 750ti graphics card (EVGA GTX 750ti $139.99 at newegg) which will give you about 40-50FPS Medium to High settings with good gameplay with a bit of eye candy.

Thanks Anastacey for your question, and the others for your answers, because i have the same graphic card as yours, and now i'm really worried :(

"Can you run it" tells me "NO" "only" for the graphic card, everything else seems ok

With that CPU specs

Name:  Intel® Core™ i5-3350P CPU @ 3.10GHz
Speed:  3.1 GHz
Brand:  Core i5 3rd Gen
Cores:  4
Memory : 6144MB RAM

Is there any way to be optimistic (even a little bit) ?

I was going to say you're better off playing with the intergrated graphics on the Intel CPU; however, that CPU has it disabled. Can go for the graphics card I've listed a post ago, or try AMD Radeon 265 and use mantle instead of DX11.
