lol Celene isn't a bad guy for killing elves. She's a bad empress because a worm has more spine.
To be fair, she is also a pretty bad gal on account of the whole sleeping-with-that-chick-whose-parents-you-killed-and-lied-about-it-shamelessly-for-years thing. I mean you've got to be a pretty sick person to pull that off with a straight face for so long.

If you support Celene or believe that she's a better ruler, the right person who could lead Orlais to the better future or a person who could offer more help to the Inquisition...there's nothing wrong with that. However if you are blind enough to overlook her crimes and believing her to be a paragon of virtue or a good person...it's madness.

Too many people using speculation and biased opinion instead of sticking the the fact, and tbh if anyone want to predict what kind of a ruler Gaspard will be or Gaspard is likely going to slaughter every elves in Orlais once he got the power that's fine but remember that is entirely pure speculation so it doesn't hold much weight. While in Celene's case it's actually happen...people can pretend otherwise but the massacre at Halamshiral is actually happened.

You really need to calm down. I know it's terrible when someone has actually done something, but this is ignored in favor of spiting someone else. Gaspard is this and Gaspard is that arguments don't sit well with me when we already know Celene is terrible.
I'm not *okay* with Celene, but Gaspard is NOT going to treat the Elves better out of a sense of integrity and backbone. He doesn't give a s*** about what he (or anyone) does to them. They are not subject to the Chevaliers code. I don't suggest he'll do it out of malice. He WILL do it if it helps him politically.
I don't care about how Gaspard treats the elves. I don't care if Gaspard kills every elf in Orlais and feeds them to the peasants. The fact is, he hasn't done it himself, and you saying he would without the elves actively trying to kill him, as opposed to Celene doing what her constituents say means nothing.

I never said she wants and plan to kill every elf in Orlais, but she still commits genocide at Halamshiral just to display her power and prove her point to keep herself in the power. Celene burns down the entire Alienage and slaughter many elves for herself not for the good or Orlais.

I am going to wait for the game to see what is the best choice.
Hopefully it is not Bhelen and Harrowmont again where one is the clearly wrong choice for their people.
I do have a feeling my Dalish PC will just punt Celene off the nearest roof though.
