All right, that last line is absurd. I don't place much stock in bloodlines, but Gaspard's only claim is through attempted usurpation and civil war. He has nothing even vaguely resembling right.

Believe me, I don't like Celene, and the only reason I want that is to undo the worst aspect of TME's overall terrible plot. It's not for Celene's sake. But I do consider Gaspard to be far too great a threat.

He's a vicious warmonger whose obsession with Orlesian power and dignity would leave him a threat to the rest to Thedas and an implacable obstacle to social change at home. The only reason I'd want to keep him around is if it would be more likely to lead to an Orlesian Revolution down the line.

Which is also metagaming since the Inquisitor isn't likely to know about what happen in TME in full detail. You are also quite biased when it comes to categorizing  this person or that person into good & evil line.
