What about all the elves Briala gets killed in the process? What about Gaspard seeing elves as little better than rabbits? What about across borders where elves situations still wouldn't improve?

Yes Briala is a bit of a cow no doubt, but if I were her I won't get my elven brothers and sisters killed over a rumor about an affair with the empress, and it's her fault that she's under her bed in the first place. But again if she said no to the empress that she doesn't want to sleep with her, she would be punished by saying no to the empress' face. And I'm doing this for justice of all elves because no one else will. And separation from humans is the best outcome for elves to live in peace from humans so that way they avoid racial conflicts.

I gave one a few pages ago.

Mine is more simple. Just give them the Emerald Graves, Arbor Wilds, and the Dales so they could stay there. If any human crosses there is at his/her own risk.

The Emerald Graves and all the Dales are the rightful property of the Orlesian Empire, and I'll not see one inch of it ceded to uppity knife ears who never called the land home.  They lost their rights to it fair and square when they lost their own war of aggression and fled/surrendered.

 

Now if they want the Arbor Wilds, they are welcome to it I suppose.

Then they should put out signs says "No humans allowed" to guarantee their own safety if they don't want to get shot. They should stay out of their territory if they want to keep the peace between the humans and elves.

Only by the Grey Warden treaties to unite as a temporary Alliance to deal with the threat. And maintain their Independence after the treat is over.

Fourth, Orlais is fully capable of not helping out during a Blight. Third Blight, they prioritized their territory and did nothing about the Free Marches. The Grey Wardens had to pressure them to do their part. Had they had their way, they would not have had to spend their own blood.

Fourth Blight, they send only a token force while again prioritizing their territory.

Fifth, it is in the nature of nations to look out for their own interests first before the interests of other nations.

I think they should create a revolutionary war @ Orlais inspired by historical event of France between elves and humans. Oh that would be a thirst quencher!!!!

well in order:

At this time Orlais and the Dales had some sort of relationship as indicated by Ameridan and Drakon.  He was expansionist yes, but he seemed to have decent relations with the elves until Ameridan's disappearance.  There is no indication he was trying to convert the Dales.

 

during the 2nd Blight Orlais was helping other nations deal with the Blight so I'm not sure what to say.  All those other examples come well after the Fall of the Dales and are not really relevant to the discussion. 

 

Since an elven army appeared at Montsimmard only to sit by, I'll assume some sort of cry for help was heard. Furthermore its a Blight, help being needed should just be assumed.

 

And for the last, all of those events take place after the fall of the Dales, so unless the Dalish had precognition, they aren't relevant.
