Briala's guilt in that doesn't seem entirely clear to me. I've never been sure whether or not we should count that with the Gaspard blackmail evidence that's clearly set up/

I've obviously missed a lot. Gaspard got set up? He didn't hire non Chevalier goons to help usurp the Orlesian throne?

I think he means the mercenary that Celene seduced to find out what his plans were and then set up the Winter Palace to make it look like Gaspard's plans were gonna work.

Meh, it was clearly cut to me and it'd make sense. Less elves would support her if they knew she was the Former lover of the Empress.

That's not how love works. There's no choice involved there. I'm not attracted to women because I want to rebel against the sexist patriarchal
society or some such, I'm attracted to women because I am. Same deal with Soris, he loves her because he does.

Yeah, you're really overthinking this. Overthinking why people are attracted to one another isn't going to prove to be a productive exercise. People can't help who they fall in love with, and they definitely don't go through whatever thought-process you just wrote out to decide who to fall in love with.

To quote Isabela "there is this wonderful thing called moving on".

You are absolutely not going to change N7 mind. All your arguments are futile, so why not just ignore this person and be done with it? Honestly, this Goes for everyone here. Why are all of you wasting your time?

I suspect its because n7phantom is some kind of guilty pleasure for them. They know he's crazy (or troll) and there's no point but they do it anyway because he easily validates their beliefs in their arguments.

Just ignore him, you're getting nowhere. You can't fight crazy people's headcanon.

Anyway, back to Celene: She is no savior of Orlais, she's everything that's bad about Gaspard without the good qualities.

The worst thing about Gaspard is his desire to engage in a campaign of military conquest against the neighbouring realms.  For that alone I'd support Celene if those two are the only choices.

Dude, have you checked out the epilogue? Celene does the exact same thing. She prefers to use sex, true, but she's not adverse to using war.

If that's how you see it that's cool, but I still believe he wants a human as a way to alleviate his insecurities of bring an elf. And I witnessed first hand of these IRs issues from my personal experience and I've done research of these kind of issues.

Ugh. Is that really all you have to say about anything anyone says to you? "Cool, but I still see it my way." Like, how is that productive or helpful? Why don't you explain why our arguments didn't sway you, perhaps with counter - You know what? I don't know why I'm even trying.

Wulfram's signature is fairly appropriate here. "Onward, to futility"

I don't recall Celene being a warmonger, and I certainly don't remember her wanting to conquer countries with sex

Yeah, probably. I'm just stubborn and find this mildly amusing even if also frustrating. It seems I'm not the only one.

No, it's more that it's entertaining watching them get repeatedly curb-stomped, even if it's scary and annoying that they never concede any points.

Well, to be fair, she did kinda try it with Cailan when she wanted to marry him to "unite" their countries.

That doesn't mean she makes a practice of trying to seduce every other country's monarch. Even with Ferelden she seemed to lose interest in the idea after the opportunity escaped her.

Also Sera's antipathy towards elven culture is atypical. Most City Elves are part of a pretty insular culture of their own that isn't fond of humans. That's pretty clear in both The City Elf Origin and the Masked Empire.

I can find all sorts of nonsense on youtube, it being filmed and uploaded does not magically imbue it with credibility

You keep telling yourself that but it doesn't change the truth.

Dude you can't change nobody's mind, I would reconsider but it's up to me to change my mind. You can't make people to convert your way of thinking, that's why I keep saying " my personal opinion " "I believe" but I'm not here to ****** people off, I just have my own mind and I can't help but to say what's on my mind and people keep taking things I said the wrong way. But if you disagree with everything I said that's cool, it seems that dissenting opinions offend people here.

its not that you have a dissenting opinion that we find offensive, we find your whole "white people are genetically pre-disposed towards ignorance and violence" that we find offensive.

Look @ history of The Roman Empire, Manifest Destiny, The Transatlantic Slave Trade, and so many historical facts and compare to Dragon Age and see how it's based on history. And I'm not responsible for no one's feelings.

if we just kill all the elves then the problems will stop

Hmm. Predisposition to violence hypothesis proven. Ahhh, I love being right.

That is true, that is what I meant. But I'm referring to the epilogue of Inquisition.

What, you do think that anyone filming something and posting it on youtube somehow makes them credible?

I'm just sharing and it shows how self-hate is a psychological sickness and denial of racial oppression is a sickness, PoC are living in a state of denial and self hate that there is that sickness that's within a sick society. And look @ DA with elves have the same pattern and the same problems of human supremacy takes place.

its almost possible, I'm being a little sarcastic, or intentionally hyperbolic

look at the Mongols, the Japanese Empire, the various Chinese dynasties and their wars, the wars plaguing Africa, the East African slave trade, the Muslim conquest of India, the Khmer Rouge, the Garland Wars of the Mesoamericans (and the ritual sacrifice it accelerated)

I was talking about this in another thread but I think I should bring it to this thread.

Admittedly Gaspard might a better choice for the immediate situation of dealing with Elder One, but its not true for the long run. After extensive information about how Orlais works and its history, Gaspard will become a failure. He wants to remove the "game" and influence if politics from Orlais, but we all know he can't. He may enforce it for a while but he will die someday or simply lose power, then all of it will come back immediately. He will quickly lose favor and his reign will solely depend on his army. Guess what? The army is fed by favors.

Celene is not without flaws either, but its not like there is any other choice. Based on epilogue endings and what they describe, the most stable ending for Orlais is Celene and Briala united and Gaspard executed. There is not a single mention of "looming threat" in this one, but in all other Orlais endings its mentioned.

Technically the Arabs originated from The Caucasus Mountains(http://johnhawks.net...frica-2012.html) and that's why they're predisposed to dominate and destroy the indigenous people without cause, as a matter of fact a woman who's from Kenya told me the Arabic language is a slave language to African nations because they've invaded North Africa hence the Arab slave Trade (http://www.arabslavetrade.com) And the PoC have one thing in common they kept their infighting within themselves and not traveling to other nations of indigenous people and destroying them and convert their religious beliefs upon them.

It was also the language of the educated populace for centuries and is still commonly spoken throughout the area, particularly in the east.  So are arabs white people too?  The Jews are a semetic people similar to the Arabs, how come they didn't get in on this supposed genetic aggression.

Everything you've said is pseudoscientific nonsense that would make phrenologists take pause.  But I get it, you are just trying to find some sort of "objective" rationale to justify your pre-existing prejudices, no matter how illogical they are in reality.

We also know he is not a failure, he effectively keeps the nobility in line and puts a check on Tevinter.

There is no reason to think his reign is going to end poorly, particularly if the peace deal with Ferelden is done.  None of the options for the throne really seem to have massive drawbacks, not even Gaspard and Briala, and it seems overwhelmingly likely that it will not impact anything else, thus it will come down only to player choice.

You're twisting my words around about things that I never intend to say, but believe what you will. I'm direct, blunt, and straight to the point type, I don't play games or trick people like others do. That's all in your mind man but you're free to believe whatever you want to believe of what's true and what's not true. :)
