First off a couple of questions.

Why can't you save games during the DLC?

Why did they split it up into parts and not have one clear run linked by cutscenes?

I keep getting stuck at the part where you face the geth cannon?

Is there a way to cheat and not die a million times during this bit? It's really frustrating me.

Position the hammerhead so that each power generator is directly between you and the cannon. When the cannon is ready to fire, you'll see a big red warning circle on the ground. That's your cue to gtfo somewhere outside the red circle. The cannon will fire and take out the generator shields. Repeat, and the second shot will kill the generator. 

 

Do this for each one, until the shield is down... then just fly around and take shots at the cannon while it's positioning to fire on you. You should have plenty of time to fly out of the circle before it shoots -- once you see that warning circle, the cannon is locked in and won't track you until it fires. I just fly as quickly as possibly to the opposite side of the map so I can get the most shots in before the cannon can fire again.

I don't have good eye hand coordination so my reaction times tend to be a bit off with these kind of parts in games.   I'll try again later when I am more relaxed.... Hopefully I get past this bit. Either that or load a previous save and continue with the game and do Overloord after the suicide mission

I'M not sure about the Hammerhead parts, but you can save when on foot. (Or at least when no enemies are around)

same her e but that's partly down to my disability I think plus I'm not that quick at reacting either
