If I posted this in the wrong place could someone re-locate it to the right place? if not sorry.

Anyone think it would be cool if there was a special aura depending on what choices you have made in the game? I know that people will react to you differently depending on what choices you have made but if your appearance could change would also be cool.

And considering the fade mark you have on your hand I think it could work.

This is how it works: Your "aura" would change either for the good or the bad.

If it is good your walking, running and facial expressions would be more calm and friendly and you would emit a nice silver mist like glow from your eyes. The poeple around you will be more calm and friendly to you. And the Fade mark wouuld change its glow as well

If you have a evil  "aura" though your walking, running and facial expressions will be more antagonistic. The poeple would be scared of you cause they do not know if they will be acused of something (and considering there is a judge system now it could work). The eyes would emit a dark red sinister mist (like saurons eye in LOTR)

There would be benefits and negatives to both these Auras but I do not yet know how to describe them yet.

Maybe they could add this later on or something? And the option to be able to toggle it of if you do not want it

What do you all think?

(sorry for bad english)

It would be interesting but perhaps Dragon Age isn't the right series for this kind of mechanic. The morality of DA actions has always been somewhat grey rather than the black/white such a system would require.

I'd prefer them to judge me on the amount of people I have hanged of skyhold battlements, which if the game let me would be an astounding amount.

Nah, one of the things I've always liked about Dragon Age is that there is no good/evil meter of any kind.  I like that the choices aren't just necessarily categorised under being good or bad, but are left open for different interpretations.  I mean it has its place, I love the dark/light side in KOTOR and it was fun sometimes in ME, but its nice to have something different for DA and I think it suits this setting.

Wouldnt work because evil and good are subjective terms.

Lets say you decide to sacrifice a whole village to save an important character that has vital info on the breach.

Person A) Saving the village is the good choice, as saving hundreds is more important than one person
Person B ) Saving the informant is the good choice, as more lives will be saved in the long run

People might disagree on the good vs evil choice in moral dilemmas. Like the above, it shows utilitarian moral philosophy vs virtue ethics (Correct me if Im wrong). There are also people that is in the opinion (including me) that morals and ethics are not universal but human inventions shaped by society and culture. For this look into moral nihilism:  http://en.wikipedia..../Moral_nihilism

In other words, players might strongly disagree on what is a good and evil act. As such it would be impossible to implement without pissing alot of people off :P

It is because you hang people that your appearance change  :)

DAI seems to have enough particle effects flying around all the time as it is, hahah. Now if it was just your hand that glew differently, then I guess that'd be neat.

Something like mass effect 2 and 3 red renegade scars would be cool. But I know this won't happen on DA series.

Or we could have something more subtle, like red eyes or blue eyes. It does not need to be an aura.

I never liked the Dark change you had in both Kotor 1 and 2 , even less in Swtor . I mean , you just look like a Zombie at Dark 5 . As for Mass effect 2 scars , they are good at the beginning . But the whole full Renegade with glowy eyes ? no Thanx .

Jade Empire had something like aura . When you stand still , you could see it . I do agree though , Tis isn't the game for it . But maybe a change in your hand color would be better ? Intsead of Kryptonite power...it could be red or gold color..depanding on what you did good or bad toward the fade ?

One of the reasons I prefer this to Mass Effect is the lack of morality. Everyone perceives everything different. There should be no right choice except the one you make.

Well in the star wars games it makes sense because that's a part of being dark side for a force user it corrupts the body.

Yeah but its ugly like hell..and add to that . if you go Light side you get nothing...would have liked to have something for making the Light side bar go full . And I may add , if its corruption..it should spread further then just your face.......

You mean something similar to KOTOR facial features changing and such?  This was the case in ME2 as well, which was a little ridiculous looking with renegade (at least in my opinion, lol).  From what you described, I wouldn't mind your facial expression somewhat changing with regards of your choices.  The aura or glow/mist wouldn't be too good, though, too in your face I think.

I like the fact that any decision you take in DA it's neither good or bad. It's about what you believe in. And, many times, when you think you are going to help this NPC with all your courage and determination, you are ruining the life of another NPC. You must always sacrifice something or someone. It's never right, it's never wrong, but it's always a hard choice!

Well yeah that's the point because the dark side rots the body that's the consequence of using it so much and the price for having more "Overall" power. The light side does not rot the body because it works in harmony with the user.
