on that note, i really really hope the MP arcane warrior isn't just the KE abilities with greenish icons and different flavor text.

The AW will most likely have 8 abilities taken from the mage and KE trees just like the other MP chars we've seen...  none of them have unique abilities from what I've seen.

I'm counting on this, actually, so I can tell whether I want to make my Inquisitor a KE or not.

That's an interesting approach.  MP should serve as a good way to tell how things will play out in the SP game, even if the builds are a bit more rigid...  I'm probably going to stick with AW in most of my MP matches, but I suppose any type of mage would do.  I wonder what abilities the AW will have?  I believe that each character can learn 8, but we can only assign 4.... :s  That's not a lot to work with tbh.

The % weapon damage for spells only serves to compare weapons and spells between them. Meaning, that you get the idea of the damage you would deal with 1 staff or other, or with 1 spell or other, judging by the experience you have.

We cannot compare mage's damage with rogue's nor warrior's. We do not know how is the formula exactly, how much intelligence, dexterity or strenght matter.

It is obvious that warrior weapons will have more weapon damage than staves, due to AAs, but we do not know how the damage from skills are calculated exactly. It is obviously not only weapon damage, there are other modifiers, and from the tweet of Mike Laidlaw, the formula is not easy to explain...

Exactly, conversion of Magic to damage, is different than strength to dmg etc.

Weapons damage is not the damage of your weapon alone. It's the weapon's damage along with the conversion into attack or spell power from the primary stat.

As for AW, yes they will use Mage+KE abilities.
