Ok, first of all If this topic doesn't belong here or if I missed a wonderful announcement about this Edition being available for me, I throw myself at your mercy. (And I also go pre-ordering that stuff.)

I'm kinda confused on why I cannot buy the PHYSICAL PC Deluxe Edition because of my localisation, while consoles can (?!).

The english version is available in US only according to my internet scouting, but not even in UK... Here goes my pre-ordering ? It reminds me of the shenanigans to buy the Origins Collector Edition (which I ended up giving up and buy the Ultimate Edition a few years after for 20 bucks instead of the full price I was willing to pay.)

Yesterday I was in awe when, pre-ordering the Inquisitor Edition from my french retailer, the game wasn't even part of it... I still feel like a ****** for paying the edition WITHOUT the game, even if the actual cost of the edition + buying the game on the side is the same price as everyone. Pretty sure it'll ruin the mood on November 18th. "Hey honey, what did you got ?" "- Goodies, so I can contemplate how I don't have the game."

I'm not even asking for a french physical edition, just a way for me to ship it from wherever you're gonna make it available (reminds me to try Australia). It sucks not being eligible for content, especially since I'm interested in having all the pre-order bonus content AND putting the damn box in my 100€ Inquisitor steelcase. I don't even see what could be the reason for not giving it to Europe (especially since none were given) ; console have it, and if the regular edition is available, why the deluxe one is not ?

Sorry for the rant, but after scouring every retail sites in search of this damned Deluxe Edition for Europe, I may be little irritated. Apologies.

The game is part of it,even though I believe PC users don't get the Deluxe Edition, just the Standard one. And,since they get the Standard one, they pay less for the Inquisitor Edition: console users have to pay 10 more dollars to get it if I remember correctly.

Only the "sans le jeu" (without the game) option was available on Micromania.fr, the exclusive retailer for the Inquisitor Edition (my Gamestop). Once I calculated the price, it was actually pretty obvious, since the french Inquisitor version is 100€ and the deluxe digital 70€ (altough we gain around 30 bucks from the final price thanks to money currency).

It's probably because EA Europe wants to maximise profits from Origin sales. Only pro is that you can play it right away if you have pre-loaded it on Origin.

My bet - the Deluxe Edition for PC is avilable only in USA, I doubt it is going to change
And It is the same in Austrlia as far as I know.

From their FAQ:

Why is the PC version of the Inquisitor Edition less expensive in Australia?- Due to us not having the Deluxe PC Edition available in Australia at Retail, you will receive the Standard PC version in your Inquisitor Edition at a slightly lower price point. You will have the opportunity to upgrade to the additional digital content separately, when it’s available.

It sucks not being eligible for content, especially since I'm interested in having all the pre-order bonus content AND putting the damn box in my 100€ Inquisitor steelcase.

(The underlined part, above) You have nothing to worry about then, just buy the regular edition and upgrade later.

I really doubt that the inquisitor's edition, whether Deluxe or not, comes without the game. I'm pretty sure they've said multible times that the game comes with it. Since there are some weird stuff going on with the physical editions and where they are available, I'm guessing that you'll just get the regular game in the Inquisitor's edition instead of the Deluxe. Check with the store.

Edit: The Deluxe edition doesn't have content that's important, so even if you get the regular edition, you're not missing out. Check shops that have the regular editions with pre-order bonuses. They offer part of the deluxe edition's content if you pre-order. Find the deluxe edition content you want the most and pick the shop accordingly. That is of course if the Inquisitor's edition doesn't work out for you in the end.

Since localisations are usually not an issue with PC games, why not search other retailers?

I know I've preordered the DAI IE and it comes with everything. Gamestop/Germany.

^ Are you sure?

I've just looked there

https://www.gamestop...tion Inquisitor

and there is this 10€ difference. Same as in case of Autralian and UK editions - and those comes with stnadrad version, not Deluxe.

Seems like the most logical answer, digital being surely much more profitable. Now, Since they're making US Deluxe boxes, why not just shipping some in English speaking countries, I wonder ? I do get my games digitally these days, but not for Dragon Age. Hence my stubborness about getting a box.

@xkg : Thank you for that info ! Pretty sure it could work the same, since the upgrade would be via Origin. But would it work for all bonus content, even if technically you're not pre ordering ? Now, if I could have confirmation from a lurking official... *fingers crossed*

@katerinafm : As I already answered, I checked (seems logical when you buy something) ; http://www.micromani...-jeu-57379.html + the receipt said nothing about the game. I'm not fooling you, I bought the blasted thing without the actual game.

@Fidite : I'm sure. Every UE retailers are the same ; some don't even have deluxe for consoles. Are you sure about yours ? German is not my strong suit. It's pretty simple to spot the difference ; it's less costly and a bunch of  DLC (flames, mounts, OST) are not in it.

Comes with all DLC. I had made clear of that when I preordered and the webpage lists every known DLC as content for the package. And it's ten bucks cheaper because console games are always more expensive than PC games.

@BioMarkDarrah Why's the European PC uber edition €10 cheaper? Also it doesn't say it includes the Flames of the Inquisition gear. Does it?

Mark Darrah‏@BioMarkDarrah
@DanielLukeMonks it does not. That's actually why its 10$ cheaper. You will be able to buy that separately.

I give you the point that you may be disadvantaged if you can't read German, but if you look here, it will say:

Digitaler Inhalt: Flammen der Inquisition"-Ausrüstung-Pack

Meaning: Flames of the Inquisition DLC.

And it's still ten bucks cheaper than console games. Because still, console games have always been more costly than PC games. Which has nothing to do with how much content they come with and everything with how the console manufacturers sell their consoles below cost and have to get their revenue from somewhere.

So, for a short summary:

Gamestop/Germany DAI IE comes with ALL the goodies and yes, is still ten bucks cheaper than the now-gen console counterparts.

Anyone else who wants to try prove me wrong?

Flames of inquisition comes with every pre-order - it has nothing to do with deluxe edition.

And I'm also not buying the game if I can't get physical deluxe.

@  Fidite Nemini ; hey, don't get mad. I'm very happy for you if you didn't had any trouble with the big pre-ordering mess for EU gamers. I asked you questions about it because I had to be very thorough myself in order to precisely know what I was and wasn't buying. Actually, if you're convinced that the german Collector Edition actually got the physical Edition, I might cancelling my own pre-ordering and try work my way around shipping it to France. I do, however, wonder why german offers would have this physical deluxe edition while literally no one else in EU, not even UK got it. That's all.

Now, if anyone from EA/Bio' could precisely summarize what is available where, it may be clearer...

@Wojo : Damn, all I think I knew about DAI various editions was a lie.

To reemphasize, I am talking about the Inquisitor's Edition (IE). And the german Gamestop only accepts in-store orders for those (and I placed mine a while ago, so they might have run out of stock anyway).

I don't know why exactly some retailers sell the IE package and goodies seperate from the game (makes no bloody sense!), but here it was a one-stop shop for everything and it can't be the only place.

Regarding the deluxe edition as a physical purchase, I think that is limited to the US. For everyone else, it appears it's either standard or IE as physical versions, or going for the digital deluxe edition.

FAQ

http://www.dragonage...ing-to-gameStop

Why is the PC version of the Inquisitor Edition less expensive in Australia?

- Due to us not having the Deluxe PC Edition available in Australia at Retail, you will receive the Standard PC version in your Inquisitor Edition at a slightly lower price point. You will have the opportunity to upgrade to the additional digital content separately, when it’s available.

Why can't I get the PC Deluxe Edition in my country?

- Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver the PC Deluxe Edition in some regions. However, the Digital Deluxe version is available for PC through Origin.

+ Dragon Age: Inquisition Standard Edition (as part of the Collector edition)

  • Skyhold Throne - Every ruler should sit in a place of high honor, but as the Inquisitor you will have the greatest of all, fashioned from an ancient dragon skull.
  • Red Hart Halla - Traverse the perilous, living world atop this great-horned beast.
  • Bog Unicorn - Once belonging to an evil marauder, this unique mount has returned to inspire fear into those who would oppose you.
  • Bonus digital content - to be announced!

(No Flames of the Inquisition bonus content listed. on Gamestop UK, it says : "The Deluxe Edition also includes the mighty Flames of the Inquisition gear!", meaning this bonus content is linked to the Deluxe Edition. Also, the digital standard Edition alone doesn't feature the Skyhold/Halla/Unicorn/Soundtrack bonus, so, my guess is, they included these as a part of the Collector Edition, rather than the Deluxe. As to why they did not do the same with the Flames content... If you're not plain bored yet, see below. )

---

@  Fidite Nemini ; Now, about the Flames of the Inquisiton bonus content.

--> https://www.origin.c...-deluxe-edition

Only the weapons seem to be part of the Standard Edition. This is actually the pre-order bonus, not the whole bonus content with the mount and the armor. "equipment" (ausrüstung) mean weapons, I guess ?

Quote

You may want to check your pre-order. Because what you bought strongly look like the Standard Edition with the pre-ordering bonus.

Since they are no physical Deluxe Edition for EU, they can either put the standard in it (and matching the price), or sell the goodies AND hope you buy the standard on the side from them, or even buy the Digital Deluxe from Origins since it's available there. I guess we have the choice because we are at a disadvantage from the US localisation.

What I can't understand, however, is why CONSOLES in EU seem to have the damn PHYSICAL and only PC won't.

Maybe we should all just wait until they release the damn ultimate-super-edition with all DLC included? Who is with me? Only half a year or a year waiting? No?

*sigh* I guess I'll just preorder the standard, as I don't see much point in ridign a red halla anyway...that's some kind of Thedas-Christmas-theme?

You may want to check your pre-order.

My IE also comes with the armor. Here the complete list of DLCs that my IE is being advertised with:

-Skyhold Throne

-The Halla mount

-The Bog Unicorn mount

-The Soundtrack for download

-The Flames of the Inquisition gear (the weapons)

-The Inquistor armor (which is the Flames of the Inquisition armor, it even has the exact same wording when compared with the Origin DDE)

-The armored horse mount

The only DLC that is not listed is the "not yet announced additional content". Which is likely because they are reluctant to advertise with stuff no one knows about "you also get this thing, but we don't know what it is, but you totally get it!", which in turn is quite reasonable. When I had prodded the GS employee about that one, he checked his little preorder FAQ book and confirmed that my IE comes with everything.

I had mentioned I did my homework before preordering a couple times now already, or had I not? Well, one last time, just ot be sure: I CHECKED!

Then you don't get the box. You can't, there's no physical Deluxe Edition. I don't want to tell you you're wrong, man. I just tell you what informations are given to me. Truth be told, I'm even less advanced as I was when I started the thread. Once again, more infos would be appreciated. It's less about a piece of armor than knowing what I'm exactly buying.

I think the halla was actually a mistake/typo @_@ can't find the info anymore. But yeah, Origins Ultimate Edition was fine-- safe for all the Steam troubles, then the profile won't uploading and... well. Don't get me wrong, I love the games. But they don't seem to love me back.

@Equalitas : The answer would be to turn off your computer, selling it, ditching your internet subscription as well as burning your furnitures and start anew in the jungle. Oh wait-- that's not a constructive post. That makes both your comment and mine, then.

Good thing I don't spend my days going on topics not concerning or interesting me and giving judgmental platitudes that are not even that good. Also, knowing that my primary question is what am I precisely buying, it doesn't even start to make sense. Just like your post on this forum for a game you are going to own. Just like everything you possess.

Have a nice day.

Sigh ... okay. I will do this clinically. Here the IE content in German:

  • Originalgetreue, 6-teilige Inquisitor Dietrich-Set

Which translates to:

**PC edition comes with standard PC edition with a code for the deluxe edition bonus content.

So, what I get for that purchase is:

The physical IE package.

The standard PC edition with all the DLC tied to that game.

All DLC from the deluxe edition.

All preorder DLC.

Which is: everything.

What difference is there to the standard and the deluxe edition?

The DLC.

Which I get.

Ergo, no difference. I get everything. You got hung up on the semantics. The deluxe edition is nothing else than the standard edition with the DLC. Whether one gets the game and the DLC together or seperately is irrelevant, you still get all the content.

All clarified?
