How would you see out of that helmet? Also, the chest...Not practical, but it does look nice.
I'd just hide the helmet and pretend it's not there, like I do in every single game ![]()

I like having a helmet, and take issue with the chest.
For me, both these things need to be changed. Love the rest.

Oh, I actually like the helmet design. I just prefer to see my characters' faces in games.
Don't get me wrong, the helmet looks amazeballs. It would just drive me nuts tryna figure out how my character has any clue where he/she is going. I wouldn't be able to take my focus off that. ![]()

There is a simple test to see if a breast plate is practical. ladys put your hands out in front of you. guys tou do it to is works whit moobs. Toutch them together like a diver or your performing an over head chop.
the breastplate can and most likely will restrict your movement

These look like they wont restrict movement. the breasts are most likely bound even if slightly under the armor.
yeah i know. heck i once tried it with a belt a few times to see how it felt.
.
That's how you do it, bind them under a normal flat plate. I've worn samurai armor and it's what I did
still damm sexy though.
sure out of battle your fine. but in there those will be some sore puppies.

Yeah, that's what I did too.
If I remember correctly, sarashi(breast bind) is use by both men and women who wore armors and kimonos, so the bouncy bits won't interfere movement and to create a straight, column like body shape.

Wait, men had to do it as well?
That seems odd. I didn't think that would be necessary. Fascinating. Just how many of you have worn armor anyway? I wanna wear some.
Bah.

Never wore any, though a classmate of mine came to class in armor, a suit of chainmail and he had a sword with him as well, IIRC. Of course this was for a medival history class and he just got back from a little demonstration/marketing for the medieval studies minor that we were in, but still ![]()

Man usually bind mid-lower torso, women often bind only chest or entire torso.
Usually in Medieval times itself "feminine armor" did not exist...both male and female had same armor plates.
Now rouge leather clothing and mage's robes could some more "feminine" look...still I have no problems with current looks...not that I don't like having my female character look like a woman...problem is that when people make "feminine armors" this is kind we get...

*coughs* so yeah this kind of thing you get when you say "feminine armors"...so if I have to chose between my character wearing armor that looks like sack of potatoes or wear something as *coughs* this...I prefer being sack of potatoes(might be just my "tomboy" nature in here but if I play class such as warrior I prefer my character don't care is it male/female to look like damn solider not fairy princess or some street ho).
I do not know if you know age of wonders 3, I would like their sorcerer's outfit as a ball outfit both for males and females...

lol male is ok for ball...but female I still find it funny xD
I hope they give you an option at what to wear...females need it ASAP ![]()
Real world doesn't necessarily have to look like a sack of potatoes on a woman. For example...

These are authentic, functional armors.

...which might partially be due to the fact that there are only a handful of examples of women wearing plate armor during that period. The one I can think of right now - Joan d'Arc - didn't participate in active combat and there are to my knowledge no contemporary depictions of her wearing armor.
Referencing medieval history for 'feminine plate armor' design doesn't make any sense, since those references simply don't exist. I'd guess that most armored female fighters who participated in active combat wore something along the lines of mail armor.
When you picture a knight in shining armor, you naturally assume that once the visor is lifted, you will see a man. During the Middle Ages, there were women knights. Some fought with whatever weapon was closest. Others wore armor. Still others commanded troops. Each of these brave women served a purpose that changed the tide of many battles.
The year is 1149, the city Catalonia. Women were the first and only line of resistance when the Moors attacked. These brave women defended the town and drove their assailants away. To honor the woman for protecting the town of Tortosa, Raymond Berenger established the Order of the Hatchet. Although not referred to as knights but dames, these women enjoyed many rights and privileges that were not given to women back in that time period including exemption from taxes and priority over men in public assemblies. Most likely, the women never saw combat again, and the order died out with its original members. But if the women had never grabbed weapons and stood up for themselves, the town would have been captured, and the women and children captured, perhaps sold into slavery, or even killed. These dames were knights.
One female knight, the Duchess Gaita of Lombardy, rode into battle beside her Norman mercenary husband while wearing full armor in 1080. Princess Anna Comnena of Constantinople called her a “formidable sight”. To defend her lands from Henry II of England, Petronilla, Countess of Leicester, wore a mail hauberk and carried a sword and shield. Along with her husband, Earl Robert, they participated in the rebellion in 1173 of young Henry against his father, the king. Another woman that wore armor to protect her lands was Maria of Pozzuoli, who was known for her skill and strength. Maria was born in Italy in the early 1300’s.
One house’s coat of arms (the House of Dudley) portrays a woman wearing a war helmet with her long hair flowing, a true female champion. That woman was based on Agnes Hotot, born approximately 1387. Her father fought with another man and to settle it, they agreed upon a lance fight. But Agnes’ father fell ill before the duel, so she donned the helmet, disguised her sex, and rode to the tourney where she dismounted her father’s opponent. As he sat in the dirt, Agnes dismounted, let down her hair and exposed her chest so that he knew he had been bested by a woman.

WOA, the heck's matter with those boots? ![]()
sabatons or to be abit more exact lâ Poulaine were used to show the level of worth of the knight.
lords had one length Dukes anougther. most still decided to simply ware leather boots.
This Chick would be the Human Noble.
I may be alone on this, but I wouldn't mind either. I like big bulky badass looking armor but sometimes I like the skimpy armor. I think that's mainly because games and such have made it a norm and I'm used to it. But still love the classic looks too. Just every once in a while I like my character to show some skin lol. But like I said, I'm game for either, but wouldn't mind both.
