Practical does not mean male, all is covered in my post.  The title even has (NOT SKIMPY ARMOR) in parenthesis to clarify this fact.  I'm not asking for impractical armor.  Both those sets are very pretty, though the Pauldrons in both fall under the impractical category on the opposite side of the fence.  So does oversized kneck think, blocks vision :(

It makes sense for a MMOrpg but the style is there. Of course I would no expect something exactly like that on DA:I.

As for the rest "More feminine armor flair/designs" I do get what you are looking for and to some extent I agree but when you talk about something being feminine it is subjective, most of the time people associated the "opposite" to being pratical and dark colored with masculine. Maybe I am a bit sensitive to that kind of concepts because I am gender-fluid. I like to think that the armor or clothes do not make your gender but you do.

I'm hoping the crafting isn't too hard and complicated and I'm not sacrificing too much to simply look okies

For what it's worth, I normally HATE crafting in games and avoid it like the plague. But I LOVE custom equipment - especially customizing the colors.

I'm optimistic about the crafting system. :)

The issue is, there's no real good term for it, because has always been described in the terminology of feminine, girly, ect.  There's no real alternate way of lumping it all without saying every individual ornamental possibility.  These are the terms used to describe them I know no other terms to use.

You continue to make no sense.  What is feminine armor?  Armor with boobs and hips, but somehow that is not supposed to be sexual, but not girly, but kind of girly.  You are the strangest kind of troll.

Well you can always say more baroque armor or ornamental but I get it is difficult to pass an idea sometimes without getting on the binary gender thing.

I'm not trolling, you are though, as you've clearly not read anything that's been said.

I have and I still remember the mess you made in your previous thread filled with contradictions and nonsense.  There is a thread that makes more sense about a similar thing where it asks if you'd rather have cool armor or practical.

Like I said neither of those really cover it.  Ornamental and Baroque cover that things would have decoration, nothing really more or less.  Armor already has that.  It's the kind of decoration I desire which is lacking.

I think if we take some like full plate as a base, we can say that feminine armour would (1) have a flat stomach as opposed to the traditional beer belly of real world armour (whether or not it has a boob plate); (2) have what are stereotypically identified as feminine decorations.

Then agan I haven't read the thread so maybe there's something more bizzare going on here.

I made this thread to escape that confusion, as that thread was about flashy skimpy armor or practical armor.

My being there was just confusing the thread, as what I'm asking for has nothing to do with skimpy armor, but making practical armor have designs that are softer, include things like ribbons, lace, frills, bows, and are still perfectly practical.  Is about expanding armor design ornamentation to create looks that incorporate traits like a more girly decorated armored skirt so it is similar to a dress or skirt of more...  girly design.

Is not about the same thing at all.  That thread is arguing for boob plate, boob windows and skimp ware.  None of which I'm talking about and this should not be lumped with.

I suppose it comes down to what you mean.

Feminine or stylised. Practical or ceremonial.

Practical armour, especially plate armour, wouldn't be particularly feminine. The padding / clothing / other forms of armour that went underneath the plate would remove much of the differences between male and female armour. They'd be some differences to take into account differences in build and body shape, but probably not significant.

A good example is Brienne of Tarth from Game of Thrones.

Ceremonial armour, or not designed for fighting, might be more feminine in shape.

The armour from the film Elizabeth might be a good example.

If you mean stylised - then that's very different! Armour could be plain or very elaborate (depending on the money at the wearer's disposal). You can make that as feminine or not as you desire. I would like to see that in the game!

Just google search to see the different patterns and designs that were incorporated into plate armour (google armour from the met museum)

I think being able to add different designs and ornamentation to armor would be cool, but might not be practical in terms of resources spent.

Ribbons and stuff...maybe, depends on how hard such things are to animate. They might cause a lot of clipping and such.

Agree that should be in the game. But I don't think it just applies to armour worn by female characters!

Of course not, but we already have styalized armors of various types, just none with a more softer girly design/style

Nothing being asked for is much more if any more difficult than the things that already exist, is just different decoration and colors.

I am more interested if we are able to craft and/or customize any casual outfits, assuming that we get to wear any.

In my opinion, Merrill's armor designs are a good example of something being feminine without being sexualized.

Can see the second one.  The first is kinda neutral to me.

The second one makes her neck look super long though, but that's a DA2 elf design thing.

IDK, the female version of the "The Hat" armor looked pretty hot to me.  And the robes the inquisitor on the platform with the banners was wearing a robe that was pretty revealing.  Of course, both the examples I gave were from concept art, not screenshots, but I'm pretty encouraged about the look so far.

Trying so hard to find good examples to post :(

Is so disheartening, everything I find with feminine flair is revealing or has boob cups, both which is totally unnecessary and my problem...  Few things breach the gap.

Wish I knew what people were doing when they found pics soooo close...  wish they were posting here :(

WETA workshop's elven armors both very beautiful and elegant . I have the Hobbbit artbook, and there are many wonderful and functional/practical feminine armor design for Tauriel in there.....

Sadly, I have no idea how to post pictures on the forums

EDIT

By the power of google..some examples, there are more in the book though
