Very curious. We can't all like the same things.

I for one, hate these:

  • Half Life 2. Bought the Orange Box for the PS3 (the original boxed copy! I am a lucky man.) mostly for this game. Played it, it was nothing special.
  • Fallout 3. Boring. Plus, those sewers and underground places creep me out. Yes. I am a grown up. Yes. I hate ghouls

And some others I can't recall right now. Leave yours and I'll be a happy monkey.

Baldur's Gate 1 is a big one for me. Very few redeeming aspects to it, in my eyes.

Laughably bad script, DnD 2.0 and Vancian Casting, non-existent character interactions, over-emphasis on exploration, etc. It just did not appeal to me at all.

Hah! Indeed.

Here are some more I just remembered:

  • Dragon Age: Origins. Boring gameplay. Excellent story, dialogue and character interaction. It is such a shame it is unplayable for me.
  • Diablo III. My first Diablo. Unimpressed. Not addictive. Repetitive.

God how many threads has there been on this now? Anyways i'll just say my usual stuff. The last of us and tomb raider I also found half life 2 pretty poor but that's probably due to age.

I'm going with FFX. I was never really a fan of Valve games either also...

It was the beginning of the end of FF for me. Easy modes, strict turn based system, auto map, bland anime guy and girl characters. The earlier FFs felt more universal to me. By the final boss where you had auto-res I really disliked it. I haven't really found that many people that don't like it though, especially as compared to FF8.

Hate's kind of a strong word, especially because of the OST and such, but it's such that I've never had the desire to replay it ever.

Red Dead Redemption... a fun game, but John Marston got on my nerves, which killed any replay value.

Skyrim.

world capacity is great but in terms of basic rpg mechanics they botched it. No reactivitty at all, skill trees are only combat based, dialogue is horendus, choices are stale and far spread,I could go on.

Skyrim is just not a good game in my opinion.

Games that I love but everyone hates?

Temple of Elemental Evil.

That...

Is a freaking huge scope, not with a lot of reasons.

It hurts to look at it, I'll be honest.

I wouldn't say hate, but Dark Souls combat just isn't for me.  Nor is Dragon Age. Call of Duty games mp focus on you being the hero of your team, instead of teamwork I have a personal vendetta against. Grand Theft Auto games, or a lot of the sandbox types.

Minecraft? Amusing at first, but got boring quickly when I started hitting the creativity/mindless repetition work barrier.

Skyrim.

I got bored with it fairly quickly. The game world is beautiful, but like all Bethesda games the plot isn't very memorable and the characters that populate the game world are dull and lifeless.

Quick intervention:

Please refrain from expressing that a particular genre ''sucks'' or isn't good. This is wrong and it's your opinion. We know those aren't welcome in the internet. Keep in mind that even though you don't like an entire genre, it doesn't mean the genre is of poor quality. If it was as such, then no games would have been made about that particular genre.

Just preventing conflicts.

Back on topic: I do not like ''The Last of Us''. It felt disgusting to just see drama everywhere. It is the definition of ''cliché''.
