Implying NBA 2K15 isn't 2014's RPG of the Year.

Only games that come to mind are Mass Effect 2 and Minecraft.
I like ME3 more than ME2 and that's saying something.

IMO if the Inquisition was to take action, they would nuke Casey Hudson and the rest of ME2/3 team from orbit.

Now it's just getting funny how few games you find acceptable. And with so few reasons.

Assassin's Creed series, because of the repetitive gameplay that has nothing new to offer.
Hmm... The Witcher. I don't hate it. It's just annoying to me. Even if I'm really close to this game and story (I'm polish) I can't stand this hype anymore because of... the fanatic The Witcher fans who hates Dragon Age for no reason and keeps comparing those two games (TW always wins of course. Especially when it comes to female romances). It's really common on polish game sites. That's why I'm here >_>

Skyrim isn't great until you can chop someone's head off with a lightsaber while wearing Iron Man Armor.
Yep. A very typical thing with Bethesda games since Oblivion. They're not good until you mod the **** out of 'em.

most indie titles, im really not feeling it, almost all of them have shitty graphics and dull gameplay. If i wanted to look at a bunch of poorly animated pixels hopping and traipsing about i could play any nes game. I find it absurd that people are willing to pay so much for something completely devoid of quality. Its like supporting the "indiez" is the cool and in thing atm regardless of the quality. On that note i would also have to add rpgmaker games. I just cant take them seriously, especially when people demand cash for them. There is a certain very popular indie game floating about aka to the moon that fits the bill on all accounts.

all those games suck because they are boring
bioshock 1 2 and infinite boring, boring because when i play a fps i need to be shooting at things that are worth shooting at like alien basterds or nazi basterds or not crack junkies in bioshock 1 and 2..and cheap brotherhood of steel knock offs like on infinite
all JRPG's suck because i don't wanna be some skinny little wimp with spiky hair and self esteem issues and turn based combat ..turn based combat is a blight on video games
the last of us ….played destiny?.go stand at the tower overlooking the last city..thats the last of us..not some beat up old man running from flower zombies with some stupid girl
dishonored..steampunk is steaming crap thats why it sucked,

Skyrim.
I really tried to like this game .RPGS are by far my favorite genre and the Elder Scrolls game were always hyped to be great rpgs. Never played a Elder Scrolls game expect 1 hour morrorwind when i was young so i thought i give skyrim a try. I bought it on release date for my ps3 and got really bored after some hours. When i reached this mountain and the guys told me i was the chosen one I stopped playing and sold the game. Some time later i decided to give it another try and bough it cheap on a steam sale. The same happended again. After i reached the mountain i got bored and stopped playing. Half a year later, being bored and looking for a new rpg i tried it again. This time with mods. So i downloaded about 10 "important" mods and again. Got borred. This time i didn't even reach the mountain. Maybe not enough mods? So i spent several hours on nexus, downloaded more than 60 mods and gave it another try. Played till the goddam mountain and talked to these old guys and just couldn't motivate myself to go further.
At least i realized what make a rpgs enjoyable for me. It's not a big world. It's not a great graphic. It's not absoulte freedom to do what you want and have tons of quests .Its the story and the characters and choice that matters.. In my opninion skyrim failed in all of it (maybe it gets better after the mountain but i just couldn't find it out). And i think that's the reason why I absolutely adore the witcher series.. No other rpg I gave played in the last 15 years has such a great written story and interesting characters and gives me the opportunity to have a great impact on the world.

Red Dead Redemption... a fun game, but John Marston got on my nerves, which killed any replay value.

Marston certainly thought so, and he never stopped reminding me of that... it got annoying. ![]()
Tommy Vercetti was the last decent Rockstar protagonist. It's like they forgot how to make villains or something.
