This has probably been said hundreds off times here in one way or another but seriously, the only straight male romance option is Cassandra. Now that's fine but seriously, she doesn't quite fit the bill for every straight man out there. I've read some other threads and yeah, I'm all up for romance whether it's straight, gay or bisexual but atleast make these characters more appealing to look at and to me (my opinion) Leliana is the only one that fits that bill.

 

I know Bioware have stated they aren't going to add any more companions which probably means they won't add any other romance options but I want them to add Leliana as a romance option or even have her as something like Samara in Mass Effect 2 where you could try but she turns you down. Making her romanceable wouldn't exactly be hard, I mean, they have the model, they have the voice actress and it's not like they have to make tons more of content to go and explore in order to do this. It would kind off be like the Extended Cut DLC for Mass Effect 3. They didn't add any explorable content, it was basically just a few more options but it made all the difference. I don't want Bioware to go out of there way to make this and release it free because that's not the right thing to do, I would happily pay for it.

 

This isn't to say I am against the romance options available, I will probably try them all at one point or another (Iron Bull will most definitely be my second play through choice) but I do think the choice is disappointing and at the end of the day, if this never happens and Bioware doesn't do this, well then I'll just have to live with it now won't I.

 

Once again, I am sorry that I have more than most likely rewritten a thread but truthfully, it's getting late where I am and I didn't want to have to read through every forum thread in order to find something like this I could reply and voice my opinion on. Again, sorry.

Leliana belong with the Warden of DAO . And seriously , start with knowing them before judging them on look alone . Also Bioware is using a NEW engine . Going with a NEW style....adapt or you gonna be dissapointed . They can't keep going back..since they are moving ahead .

Someone could potentially mod Leliana in as a companion. People have done so for DAO.

Of course, Frostbite is notoriously difficult to mod, so it may not be possible.

I think too many people have emotional attachments to their Warden and Leliana. Having her romancable into DAI would make A LOT of people feel betrayed. You know what I tell to people who don't think Cass is that pretty or feminine enough. Just think of her opening up to someone and showing her softer side. Think about her trusting someone enough to show that side of herself. Imagine her in normal clothes and just being a friend. She has a lot of sex appeal when you think of her that way.

Alright, this thread made me check on the romace-options the first time...well...for a female inquisitor, I am not so much impressed...two elves? Really? Oh well...

Vivienne? I will play a mage the first time, just so I can avoid her completely, even more hideous than Morrigan. No wodner she is no romance

Cassandra? Well, all I can say: You looked better in DA2 for sure, time wasn't gentle with you apparently...and I never liked her accent

Cole? No romance for the little emo-spirit? Get yourself a haircut, just follow Blackwall

Dorian? Sigh... The first time I saw his picture it was clear he would be the gay romance..that moustache? really? *chuckles* Okay, no judgment from me..,*giggles*

Sera? Yeah, she seems kinda cute, though she seems like out of some Star Trek Fan Fiction, a blonde Vulcan lesbian...

And Varric? I am surprised by myself, but from all companions, he would have been the coolest to romance for a female...that chesthair, that charm...

 

So I suppose it's Cullen, the substitute Alistair for my "canon"-Inquisitor, and Sera/Josephine for later playthroughs...

 

And to the OP: Yeah, Leliana rules supreme from the female love-interests so far in Dragon Age...red hair is always good, and her accent/voice? So adorable. And this whole background? Makes it even better...but as other's have pointed out: The Shiatstorm would be quite bad from DAO-Leliana-lovers, and it's better for Bioware to avoid it...

Don't think josie would be an option if anyone thought it wouldn't be possible for her to have the same amount of content as every other romance. So *shrug*
