Leliana is not a romance option in DA:I. If you're that upset with the two women of choice for straight male inquisitors, I suggest either playing DA:O where you can romance Leliana, or consider finding a girlfriend in real life.

Lelliana has a very strong and preference for women, and a male warden was the only exception. Besides she has sera and Jodie's vijay why on earth would she bother with an inquisitor (especially male)when she can have a hawt threesome with those two .or if a. Romanced warden is alive an awsome foursome.

Lelliana is 99% lesbian, and the other one-percent is only for a male warden.

 

Only one of Leliana's exes is mentioned in the series, so I don't think we should assume that a male Warden would be the only guy she was with. I would think her dialogue implies otherwise, since it doesn't imply that a romance with a male Warden is anything new or different for her. If she were a lesbian before meeting the Warden I think that would have been reflected in dialogue.

 

Also, that turns male Warden into a really special snowflake. Please, no! I do think it is fair to say that she is slightly more into women than men, but she's bisexual and has probably had partners from both genders.

In DA:2 I was fantasizing about Cassandra as a romance option.

But now the tables are turned. For me this isn't about Cassandra "looking masculine" at all, it is because (and always was) due to her face looking completely different.

I hope that Leliana(and Varric)'s friendship path is different from DA:O or else it does seem a bit fanservicey. This would require these characters to have changed significantly.

I think the people who wanted Leliana to be a LI in DA:I are mostly refering to no import playthroughs or playthroughs with an import where the Warden is either dead or not romancing Leliana.

If they did what you suggested.....have you though about those who want Leliana with their warden ? and their warden is either died/not in DAI ??? 

 

Who don't ? own the game ? on DAI website..they are giving DAO for freee now . 

 

1st point. That's what the Keep is for, making choices so it would be a choice of, romance the Warden or not. If she romanced the Warden then that should lock her out of romance with the Inquisitor. Simple, and that would work with her character as well because she does appear to be very loyal to whoever she is with.

 

2nd point. I know this, but isn't that for PC only? 1, my PC is crap and can barely play it and 2, it's broken so I can't play it. Now how many people also have a similar situation, maybe they can barely play it with there current PCs, or don't have a PC. So how does one get around that problem? Well they can't. But to be fair, everyone in the whole gaming community should have played DA:O at one point or another because it is that great a game.

I would like to have Leliana as romance option as well. Cass is amazing but if Leliana was added I wouldn't say no. I really like what they did with Leliana for DAI, she feels more intresting and badass to me and she looks amazing too!

I subscribe to the logic that if romanceable companions don't suit the player's romantic interests, then they should design a protagonist who *does* meet their interests and play her/him from a different point of view.

Leliana belong with the Warden of DAO . And seriously , start with knowing them before judging them on look alone . Also Bioware is using a NEW engine . Going with a NEW style....adapt or you gonna be dissapointed . They can't keep going back..since they are moving ahead .

2) "Moving ahead" brought about DA2.  And while, ref #1, I have no idea what proportion of people felt as I do on that point, I have no doubt at all that far more people were disappointed with DA2 than were very happy with it.

Truth. I honestly never "bought" her as being interested in males. Between Marjolaine and that little run-in with Tallis, it seemed like Leliana more often exhibited an affinity for females, not men. Her desire for a male warden kind of felt...weird. Like the devs were trying to titillate that chauvinist male fantasy of being able to woo a lipstick lesbian with hopes of possible threesomes. (ugh)

 

Can we take a walk from the "Leliana is a lesbian" talk, because it comes very close to "Leliana is a corrected lesbian, by the Warden" talk. Leliana is bisexual. 1) If BioWare told the same story over and over, they would fail. Simple as that. Adaption is how one gets more people to try out a product, and thus buy it. We, the BioWare fans of legend, aren't enough to actually pay for all of DAI and provide revenue besides. Now, adapting goes in two ways, one can be more mainstream, or one could go the opposite direction. Figure which one you're willing to support, and we can talk .

 

2) DA2's major failures, and this has been stated over and over, and relatively agreed upon, were it's reused assets, the vastly different combat and the total change of artstyle. It made it feel like a different game, and most of this was due to lack of time, with a side note in trying new things. The story's been 50/50 in terms of acceptance.

I can't even tell which LI you're referring to, and I don't want to. You may not like 'x', but you should learn how to express your disappointment better. Like an adult. (And if you're referring to Iron Bull then double 'no thanks' to you as I don't want to see yet another gay male option get eroded for a romance that has already been delivered).

 

In short to OP, you like Leliana, we get it. You like her because you know her, you know what the thrill having having a romance with the Bard could be like and you're eager to be proven right or wrong. Here's a tip. Open yourself up to trying something new. Cassandra may not be attractive to you, but she might be to one of your Inquisitors, same with Josephine, Blackwall, Cullen, Solas, Iron Bull, Sera or Dorian. TRY SOMETHING NEW. And don't forget that people look a way for a reason. These characters represent real people, and the proof to that is written on the lines of their faces, the scars, the makeup, even the build. These people look like themselves, and thank goodness for that because that is far better than the alternative where every character description includes 'beautiful' and 'svelte'.

I think the reason why no one wanted a romance with Wynne was because she was the 'mother' of the group. That would have just been wrong on a thousand different levels.
