Is ME3 the only title in the series where Shepard's biotics are acknowledged? I can't think of any place in ME1 or ME2 where Shepard's biotics are mentioned. (Actually, talking with Chakwas in ME1 is rather grating if Shepard is a biotic.)

When you go to save Chairman Burns, Kaidan (I think it was him) mentions that "Commander Shepard is a biotic too".

Can't think of any mention in ME2 though

If imported shep wasn't a biotic in ME1, but you made him one in ME2, the first time you take Tali/Garrus on a mission and use your biotics, they will say, "Keelah/Spirits, I didn't know you could do that, Shepard!" And shep will answer, " me either."

Okay, I made that up :P

In ME1 when talking to Kaidan about his implants he will state that he outperforms most L3s barring a biotic Shepard. There's some stuff with the biotic extremists missions. Ultimately, there isn't a whole lot of conversation on that front; especially compared to something like DA:O.

I know talking with Kaidan in ME1, he will mention that L2s spike higher than the safer L3s, "except you of course." or something to that effect. I believe there is a bug where he also says that if you are the Soldier class as well.

Cannot think of any mention in ME2 at the moment; there may not be one

I was pretty certain that Kaidan only mentions himself, since he is an L2 like the rest of them. I've played ME1 mostly as a Vanguard or Adept and never got this line.

It's hardly mentioned most of the time given that Shepard is technically acknowledged as a Soldier class more than naught.

And in ME1 if Shepard is a biotic, Shepard will be totally ignorant about "brain camp." You'd think Kaidan and Shepard would be exchanging stories.

Thus I'm convinced that Shepard is simply a dumb ass.

Shepard and Jack romanced is the best acknowledgement you'll find. Wish it was that personalized throughout the series.

I don't remember any mention of Shepard's biotics, but my Jack-mancing Shepard may not have been a biotic. I do remember Mordin mentioning Jack's biotics in his sex tips dialogue.

It's in ME3 Citadel, at her meetup. She'll comment on class regardless of romance, and advise a Soldier to provide cover fire. Or a biotic to use a Pull or something.

In romance, she'll say something kinky, depending on class. link

Oh, Citadel. Yes, I remember that. I thought you were referring to ME2.

Yeah, unfortunately, it's one sided in ME2.

On the plus side, Kaidan's and Jack's stories on their own are still good. I still use them as a guideline on how a biotic Shepard might've grown up.

"Brain camp" is very specifically the Biotic Acclimation and Temperance Training project, which was shut down years before Shepard entered the military.

They replaced the BATT with a softer, less brutal version that didn't rely on disgraced Turian ex-military trainers. There's no reason for Shepard to 'exchange stories' with Kaiden about a place and a program she's never been in.

I'm absolutely certain the line is there, though it may come from another squadmate. The one on the left of the Commander in the cutscene.

The line is there for Kaidan, but it's in only one of the options. When he starts talking about his history, you have a chance to be sympathetic or dismissive.. it's one or the other that makes Shepard relay his own biotic experiences, I remember that much.

It might be the dismissive one, like you tell him to stop being a baby or something. That it isn't so bad. Then he makes a difference between your experience and his harsher one in BATT.

All three games, or at least ME1 and ME3, recognize biotics (Adept, Vanguard, Sentinel), even if minimally.

Most of the story is more centered around the kind of archetype you'd imagine Soldier to be.

There's that class specific Engineer Interrupt in Omega.

Some lines in ME3 describe your class.

But yeah, when it comes to overall type, Combat is assumed by the story, Biotics is rarely mentioned, and Tech isn't really a thing.

My hopes are that for the next protagonist, Combat is a big thing along with Biotics, and Tech gets some mentions. More equal than ever before. We'll see :)

Tech seems to have very minimal story value.. Unless you attach it to a tech oriented culture (Quarians or Salarians, for example). If you had a chance to choose species, then it'd be fun. As another human, it's kind of.. just another variation on soldier.

I remember that line, too. I think it is tied to the paragon response.

Kaidan also says something to the effect of "My L2 implants mean that I spike higher than most L3s. Except you, of course." in ME1, if Shepard was a biotic. Can't remember the exact dialogue, but it's the same conversation in which he mentions his headaches.

The dialogue is bugged though - it shows up for basically every Shepard if you're on NG+ and have unlocked a biotic bonus power, even if Shepard isn't biotic and isn't using that bonus.
