I dont know yet, but i guess as a human mage i will definitely need knowledge of my gift, arcane, history etc. Then crafts and upgrades as the arent the attributes in the lvl ups. I wish i can find a way to have everything and make the stronger Mage Thadas has ever seen. And give a piece of my mind to that pesky old Elder One.
Inquisitor Perk Priority?

Considering what the Mage Warden can do, I'd shoot for 2nd strongest myself ![]()

Bring this back up just incase people may have their minds changed about what they will aim for their Perks with these new Images showing Perks we can get from Cullen (Force Perks), Leliana (Secret Perks), and Inquisition perks.
Sorry they're keeping what kind of perks Josephine will provide as a hush hush to prevent revealing too much.

Anything that unlocks special dialogue is top priority.

It probably won't make any sense, RP Wise, to have knowledge of the criminal underworld unless you're a carta Dwarf or to some extent, a Qunari mercenary,
BUT I AM SO GIVING MY HUMAN NOBLE WARRIOR ALL THE CRIME KNOWLEDGE HE CAN GET.
I can't wait to just explain everything to everyone about the Crows, the various criminal organizations and mercenary groups, while looking like a posh noble. Explaining stuff about the criminal underworld to VARRIC and SERA will be especially hilarious haha

From a min/max point of view additional dialogue is about as useless as it gets. From a story and narrative point of view, the option to tailor the knowledge of your Inquisitor like this is intriguing.

I think dialogue options > everything else, though I think I'll pick RP-specific options (e.g. no arcane/fade perk for non-mages).
I could see my non mage Inquisitor specifically searching for that perk because he has NO background in the topic and if you are given the assignment of closing fade rifts in the world MAYBE just MAYBE you might want to understand about magic and the fade and demons spilling out tof the rifts, no?

Yeah, but only from codex entries. And with respawning enemies additional xp gain is redundant.

It looks like there are a lot, which is good... But it also means choosing which ones to take will be difficult.
I'm going to go for Arcane Knowledge one first for my mage. Maybe the history one as well. Other than that? It's hard to say. The Tailoring and Schematic ones sound potentially good. The Focus ones seem like they would be must-haves.

I'll definitely be jumping on the Knowledge perks first, who knows what I'll do after.

I think what i will do is wake up Nov. 18th morning grab a cup of coffee and look at a walkthrough some guy just posted after rushing through the game and complaining the game is too short. He'll have broken down the with metrics wich perks provide the most value. Then fore armed i'll pick the ones he said sucked.

At this time, I imagine I'll spend most of my time with Josephine. Whatever perks her political path provides for me are likely going to be the ones I decide on.
Since we haven't seen those yet, I reserve final judgment.
Although the types of perks? Probably anything that opens up more dialogue will be priority one!

I am going to be picking the perks that make sense for my character.
Thus for Navilia Trevelyan I am getting the dialogue choice perk for history/chantry right away, Where as I might not even pick up the mage or underworld one unless they start down that route. Ie I spec in assassin, take the underworld dialogue perk, same thing for the magic one for tempest.

more dialogue can be interesting but I'm with another poster. With what they've revealed about enemies able to respawn... and in fact some cases somewhat quickly. I'm not worried about needing the extra experience. I certainly didn't need it in DA:II. Even without any xp bonuses I seem to finish that game somewhere in the range of level 28. I can't see that being so important in DA:I since the enemies don't level scale. They will only be truly hard if I up the difficulty of the game or take them on too early. Since from the sounds of it we can gain lots of power points in lots of ways I'll probably have more issues getting bored with overleveling places trying to do it all.
So the lore can be nice but I'm sure to play it several times so I don't need them all in one go. Specially with the Jar of Bees and it's upgrade "Add in Wasps" to play with...

It doesn't make much sense to get all the dialogue ones unless you are only doing a single play. I want to do everything in one play, but at the same time I want some stuff left for another. Extra dialogue is one of those things that can be saved for later discovery.
I have 3 playthroughs planned:
myself as a rogue - will take lore that makes sense that i might have gained in that position
elven mage - anything magic related
dwarven/qunari warrior - martial oriented

Well, I'll be playing as a Qunari mage, so my PC wouldn't have much interest in chantry history. But knowledge regarding magic and the fade she'd be more invested in. As from what we can see my interests are ordered as follows:
forward scouts > arcane knowledge > mage schematics > more healing potions > true grit
That's liable to change though, assuming Josephine also offers the Inquisitor perks that we aren't aware of yet.

Hm...
Dialogue stuff first (all of it - as my characters are always scholars, avid readers and silver tongues (snake charmers who can talk people out of their pants - literally)...can't be like that if you don't know your stuff IMHO)...not dependent on class (my rogues, warriors will know as much about the arcane as mages do, because they want to know what they face when fighing mages/demons etc.) at all ![]()
Later on - stuff that's usefull (inventory first for example)
greetings LAX
