Hey guys, I'm still rather staying away from the forums. Anything story/twitter related is off limits for me! However, I started thinking about an interesting idea and would like to share, as well as hear what you guys would do.
So imagine we actually had multiple Origins for our Inquisitors. They would range based on class and status. Here are some that I've come up that still make sense to the initial plot of "how and why the Inquisitor was at the peace conference at New Haven."
Note: These multiples origins are not like they were from DA:O. Whoever you were before you became The Inquisitor is no longer relevant after the first hour. When you are addressed by others, it will according to your status and race, NOT your origin. (example; nobody will mention whether you are an ex-carta dwarf or a merchants guild dwarf, only that you are a dwarf).
Also Note: Each origin does, however, have a unique side quest. There are also some unique dialogue options with companions and NPCs based on your origin, but these are minor and have no impact on the story.
Humans
1) Human Noble (available to Warrior or Rogues)
2) Human Chantry Delegate (available to Warrior or Rogues)
> Once involved in a life of crime and strife, you've given up that life many years ago in pursuit for deeper spiritual meanings and contemplation. Now either a Brother or Sister (depending on gender) of the chantry, you and several other delegates attend this conference to represent the desires of the Andrastian Chantry as a whole, by request of the Divine herself. When events unfold, you have no choice but to give up this lifestyle and use your old skills to save rise up as the true Herald of Andraste.
*Particularly special dialogue with Cassandra, Leliana, Cullen, and Empress Celene.
3) Human Mage

Elves
1) Dalish (available to all classes)
2) Elf Commoner (available to Warriors or Rogues)
> A City Elf working whatever jobs come by to sustain your life, you're often doing tedious servant work for human lords and other representatives who hire on your flock when extra hands. However, there were times where you participated in shady jobs, jobs that forced you to become a cunning and keen fighter. Hired by a human lord from The Free Marches, you and several other Elves were brought to the conference for menial tasks. In the eyes of most, you were just another Elven servant, but little did anyone expect you would be the one to rise up as The Herald of Andraste.
*Particularly special dialogue with Sera
3) Elf Circle Mage
> Sent to the circle at a young age when your magical talents began to flourish, you lived in the Ostwick Circle of Magi for the entirety of your life. When the Mage-Templar war erupted in Kirkwall, it didn't take long for the fighting to reach Ostwick. Desperate for survival, you had to fight your way through the Templars who had once sworn to protect your order. You and your Mage peers attend the peace conference in hopes of finding a peaceful resolution to this conflict but any more lives are lost.
*Pretty much the same origin as Human Mage, minus the nobility roots.
Dwarves
1) Carta Dwarf (available to Warriors or Rogues)
2) Merchant Dwarf (available to Warriors or Rogues)
> Member of the Noble House Bemot of Orzammar, your family is very influential in the lyrium trade between Orzammar and the Andrastian Chantry nations. You and a few members of your noble house have volunteered to live, conduct, and oversee the business from the surface, to ensure maximum quality, efficiency, and profit. The Mage-Templar war endangers your family's operations, so you and other delegates from House Bemot attend the peace conference to discuss where the Chantry stands on the lyrium trade, now that the Circles have disbanded and the Templars have defected.
*Particularly special dialogue with Varric
* It doesn't have be House Bemot, it can be a new or pre-existing Noble or Miner family. That part is irrelevant.
Qunari
1) Tal-Vasoth Mercenary (available to Warriors, Rogues, and Mages)
2) Ben Hassrath (available to Warriors and Rogues, sorry no Mages)
> Part of an elite spy sector of the Qun, your people's government/religion, you are sent by the AriQun to observe and conduct information on the Mage-Templar war for the Qunari. You attend as an officiated guest. Despite all pleasantries exchanged, you are viewed upon with fearful and distasteful looks. When events unfold, you are forced to give up your old duties to the Qun and assume the new role of The Inquisitor.
* You are technically now a Tal-Vasoth.
* Particularly special dialogue with Iron Bull, who is loosely still part of the Ben Hassrath himself.
Haven't really thought of the unique side quests, but coming up with them shouldn't be too hard. A couple of the top of my head
-Qunari Ben Hassrath: Apparently, the Qunari have deemed that having a defective Ben Hassrath member is too much of a liability considering your previous role. Since you cannot share information of the Inquisition with the Qun as a mutually beneficial arrangement, you are being hunted down by Qunari assassins.
-Elf Commoner: The family members of the influential human lord who initially hired you onto the job is convinced that it is too coincidental that you survived while he perished. They have called for drastic measures by propelling you to appear before trail in Andrastian Court. Though the Inquisition does not answer to the Chantry, it is their right as Nobles.
-Dwarf Merchant: You are contacted by your Noble House and asked to provide the Inquisition's resources to help preserve the family's status, for their wealth is rapidly declining since the abolishment of the lyrium trade.
