For me, the only thing that really bugs me about any of the companions' appearances is Cole's awful hat hair. That dent in his forehead!! Why?? Well, lucky for me, I'll be keeping a hat on him so I won't have to see it if I don't want to. Problem solved!

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of many of the design choices for the companions. Cole's hair just looks so ridiculous I want to laugh every time I see it, but I do like the character designs for Vivienne and Sera. It's a mixed-bag for me.

Art design has never been a strong point of DA. Compared to Mass Effect, it's eons behind and Witcher is in another universe. And yes, I hate the look of the new characters even if I can appreciate Bioware's attempt at creating unusual, offbeat characters heavily rooted in their story roles.

You make me giggle, thank you.  The lack of research as well as ignorance in your post is pretty impressive given it's length.

 

The Frostbite engine is one of the hardest to mod out there.   There was a mod for BF3...that took over a year to do.

Save for Dorian and Cullen, the companions have some major uncanny valley going on. What's up with the artwork in the Dragon Age series? DA2 made Alistair ugly, and now DAI made Cassandra ugly. Just look at the Witcher 3 character models. I'm not saying that every companion needs to be a supermodel, but they should at least look human. They should also probably look better than the character models from the first Dragon Age game.

 

That's your opinion , and in my own . Completely wrong , Except for the DA2 Alistair was a bit lack-luster.

 

Cassandra tho is fantastic looking so are the rest.

 

As for the witcher 3.. yea lets not make Dragon age anything like the witcher , especially in character design. I get it , you clearly like the witcher more then how about you go play it then? I frankly cannot stand it and think its a flat out sub-par game in every aspect.

I get it, he's basically Justice from the Awakening DLC. Which makes sense he looks like he belongs in a sick bed; luckily he is not romancable.

I hear you get capture are tortured, sounds a lot like what happened to you in the Leliana's Song DLC. I'm sure you'll be fine though, your a strong girl, and you got a Warden who is near and dear to your heart in one of my play throughs.

 

Overall, if I could get use to abnormally long limbs in Fire Emblem: Awakening, I can get use to some unpleasant faces.

Have some class and realize that BioWare is going to do what they wish.  They aren't making games for just you, or me.  They are trying to make games good for everyone.  In that sense of integrity, there is going to be things that you may not like.  That's fine, but asking them to change the way the companions look based on old screenshots is not.

I agree with some of your points in the thread. Not all, but you had some valid points here. But never forget how the internet works. You misspell one word and grammar nazis appear. Never think your opinion will, or choice in words, will not be attacked.
