Its been said plenty of times that it won't be moddable now, Bioware said there is a chance of course but if there will be mod system for DA:I it'll for sure be after lunch.
After lunch?
Wow, Frostbite 3 didn't hold off the modders long... ![]()

B-but what about the Qunari hairstyles?
I would think porting the other races' hairstyles over to the qunari would be a simple thing. the difficulty would probably come from when you want one of the other races' hairstyles and qunari horns; but even that doesn't seem too infeasible given enough time for modders to learn the game.

DA2 wasent mod friendlly too if I recall, but somehow modders found a way to mod it
maybe they'll find a way to mod DA:I too :-)
True there is no official toolset support for DA2, but you can use the DAO toolset with it to do certain things. As far as I've noticed the main thing that can't be done for DA2 are the involved scripting mods or story type mods. The majority of mods for DAO are texture replacers, cosmetic (hair, skin, tattoo, color additions), and new armor/weapons. Those are all able to be done for DA2 as well.

I hope not. I really hate going online watching streams of finding screen shots of characters being sexified. Gross.

Kind of like going to a morgue and being grossed out by all the dead bodies. Maybe don't go

No, it means most mods I've seen are sexist garments that shouldn't exist in the first place.

One mod that I'm interested in. How hard would it be to create a mage spell that does the same thing as a healing potion?

You can do scripting and story type (more in the ways of alteration rather than genuinely new content) mods, just not to extent of DAO.

Yeah, and I hate doing the same and finding screen shots of characters being killed, tortured, etc etc. I find it far worse, even than straight up porn.

It shouldn't take people very long to get Texmod up and running with the game, mostly because Texmod isn't true modding. What it does is interrupt the games loading sequence and has it read alternate textures instead of what's in the game files (that's why it adds several minutes to the initial launch of the game). That shouldn't be too hard to do, and I believe there are some Texmod stuff floating around for other Frostbite games.
Outside of that, though, don't expect much.

Then don't watch them. Not your business how others play their game.
If it's not the way the programmers and authors intented them to be, it shouldn't exist.

It's also not your business to decide what should exist and what shouldn't. And you know what? I'm really glad about it.

Most publishers hate mods from communities because mods have the potential to reduce DLC sales. So guess ea is probably extremely happy that DA:I is not modder friendly. I'll also add this, the reason why Bioware used Frostbite for DA:I is probably due to pressure from ea to make DA:I unfriendly to mods... conspiracy much...
I read some where that EA is pushing all their titles to be made on the Frostbite 3 engine for that reason, though they would never outright admit that, citing that it's just better or presents better graphics or something.

Exactly. You don't like thing, therefore nobody should be allowed to have thing.
Question: Would you be okay with these sexist garments if they only existed for men?

BS. They are using Frostbite for almost all their games to save money. Not having to pay a substantial licence fee for an engine and a better workflow within the company will save millions for every game made with FB.

Very doubtful... even though Bioware didn't release a toolkit for DA2, it was still using same Engine as Origins...
DA:I using Frostbite 3 which is very hard to mod (try to find any serious mods for ANY games that have used that engine and have been out for years).
We may get little tiny tweaks like removing health potion limit..
But i extremely doubt we'll be able to get any decent modding for DA:I.
Damm shame from my point of view... often case that the games that allow modding often have longest life spans

Making money by selling dlc or by saving license fee make absolutely no difference. it still has little to do with graphic.

Mr InterrogationBear, valid point. But it's possible that Frostbite engine could've been designed to be not mod friendly in the first place. This is EA we're talking about here. Saving money is one thing. Money through dlcs is another

... most 'modding' is simply done at the resource level in the files anyway...
...Pretty sure the only reason that Frostbite has a reputation for 'non-modding' is because it is typically used for MP only games where playing with mods is a ban-able offense.
Bingo.
To say it definitely won't happen is nothing more than speculation. Engine is not brand new. The odds are we will see modding to at least the above talked about degree, if not more.
