I just thought of something and (shockingly) I can't find the answer on the almighty Google.

What is Morrigan's stated fate in the DAO epilogue and witch hunt if you never give Morrigan the grimoire from the mage tower?

Without it there's nothing to tip her off that Flemeth plans to possess her. Does she just get possessed?! I can't imagine Bioware catering for the possibility of that happening, as it'd be too difficult to tie in with the other scenarios (and probably hardly anyone ever went this route anyway). I guess they could do an ME3 with a Flemeth-possessed Morrigan's doing much the same thing, but that would really suck...

She probably just steals it on her own.

This choice is accounted for. *Taps nose*

That said, Flemeth seems willing to let Morrigan do her own thing for a while.

The thing is we only have Morrigan's word for it that was Flemeth's plan for her.   She claims she knows of no other daughters and whilst Morrigan may not know of her, Yvanna was definitely a daughter of Flemeth whom she had not possessed.    Morrigan may have misunderstood.   Flemeth certainly didn't seem in a hurry to track her down, even if Morrigan had arranged for her "death".     Actually it seems more likely that Flemeth left such hints in her Grimoire, knowing that Morrigan would eventually get hold of it, to make sure that Morrigan steers clear of Flemeth.    This actually works since Morrigan will not go with the Warden to Flemeth's hut and, as we know, Flemeth has a back up plan should Morrigan succeed in finding someone to do her dirty work for her.   Had Morrigan attempted to kill Flemeth herself, no doubt the latter would have body jumped and possessed her.

But that's just supposition, someone must know the actual answer.

Anyone done a playthrough this way and remember what is stated in the epilogue or witch hunt?

Uh no. It's implied that Yavana is actually Flemeth ie possession.

How did you get that? Granted it's possible, but what clues did you see, because I didn't pick up on any of that.

"It was a gift." - Yavana

Our dear old friend Uldred refers to possession as a gift.

Either it was on purpose or a slip by Gaider.
