This was my very first real Fanfiction and what was going to originally be my attempt to write my own ending to Mass Effect 3, but then I realised that I did not want to just write a Mass Effect story that followed 'action-for-action, word-for-word' the same as the game. So I instead planned and wrote a trilogy blending two of my favourite franchises together (using the story of Mass Effect as a road map), creating a story that was familiar and new to both sets of fans.
And over the course of writing the first three stories, I came to the conclusion that I did not want to just end it there, but instead see where I can go with the story and take it in a direction that was entirely of my own making.
