As a newbie to the Dragon Age series.... I'm curious about if you can customize your character and you have your own main character in Dragon Age Inquisition?.... or Explain to me about the multiplayer. Thanks

You can costumize the apperance from your char. and his first name. The multiplayer is about agents from your inquisition which are send to invrstigate some enemy appearing. You can see a bit of the costumization on bioware twitch

So is it like single player? You can customize your character? Grind for loots? etc?

I am also curious about how Multiplayer will work.  Will it be akin to Mass Effect 3 with the planet readiness or something else entirely?  I am worried because Dragon Age games have always been solo experiences.

Dragon Age Inquisition is a SP and MP Game , more focus on the SP by far. Yes you customize your character , Its a story-driven game. and No you don't grind for loot like you would in say Diablo 3.

 

I am also curious about how Multiplayer will work.  Will it be akin to Mass Effect 3 with the planet readiness or something else entirely?  I am worried because Dragon Age games have always been solo experiences. 

 

There is a MP video out there , and no it isn't like Mass effect 3's MP effecting the Singleplayer.. thank god.

the second newbie to dragonage in the same day? did they post more media for inquisition than the first two? for inquisition info i suggest checking the new videos, i'm not familiar with all the new stuff for the game. you do have your own character in the story mode of the game, thats been throughout the whole series. in multiplayer you use preset characters, whether you can customize them at all or not, i don't know yet. and welcome to the community taikiru.

The preset ones are your companions , if that's what your referring to. And no you don't grind loot. there is obviously loot drops but you wont stay in 1 spot slaughtering endless enemies hoping for a rare sword to drop.

 

Why does MP have to have a point? Can't it just be for fun? Preset characters are also for Multiplayer those you don't customize either , you play a pre--determined character , face wise at least. you still customize there abilities and gear.

oh, i was wondering XD multiplayer is for fun, it was made cause so many people wanted co op, it has no function other than for people to play dragonage together, it will have 0 impact on single player, you could play single or multi without the other. i plan on playing through all of single player before playing multiplayer.

DAMP will feature 12 preset characters at launch with more to come through FREE DLC throughout at least the next year.

You will be able to:

upgrade and customize armor including limited color options

upgrade and customize weapons

develop skill trees to suit individual play style

choose difficulty level to suit your skill and character level

All loot and xp are shared

Unlock new banners/icons through personal challenges

Compare your progress to friends and the community at large through leader boads

 

You will not be able to:

customize the face or gender

Have anything more than a superficial impact on SP. *I think* I heard them say that after you promote a MP character they show up as an NPC in Skyhold.
