I don't know. I hope the back stories are as tragic and lovable as they have been for the past two games. Though I feel like Bioware has to one up themselves to replace all the characters they didn't bother to say what happened to them...
Who will you romance?

Sensible advice says go with the one you would be most dissapointed in losing if you never did it.Pros Cons about why you like each. But personally I feel Adaar and Iron Bull arevery suited. Both Qunari Mercenaries, but one being Vashoth and the other someone who believes in the Qun, afraid of demaons and a working mage. Also they said some characters will know each other a little and have dialogue on knowing your Inquisitor, and it seems Iron Bull would be a likely candidate for knowing Adaar.

Well, I was planning to romance Bull first with my female elf. But since she has like all the options and the other characters don't... All my plans got screwed up and I'm just gonna play and see who fits her best in the actual game.

Definitely Dorian at first, followed by Bull (with a male Inquisitor). Then I'd like to romance Sera and Josephine (with a female Inquisitor), although I'm not sure which of the girls I'll go to first. Then, and this is obviously pretty far in the future due to the amount of time four games will take, I'd like to say I'd see the straight romances too, but I doubt I'll be able to keep myself from going back to Dorian or Bull based on the sheer number of times I was with Anders and Kaidan in DA2 and ME3.

Plan on eventually romancing everyone with a many genders/races as possible (I ain't letting $70 go to waste) but will most likely romance Josie as a dwarf female first... idk. I don't know enough about characters so it will most likely change when I play, as it always does. ![]()

Ultimately this is what happens to me too. I have never romanced Isabela (I started once with a Lady Hawke and then promptly gave up on the playthrough) or Merrill or Sebastian. I've only ever romanced Alistair, Morrigan, and Leliana for the achievements. And I've never done a single romance in ME 2 or anyone other than Kaidan or Steve (once) in ME 3. And with these four games combined, I'm probably over 25-30 playthroughs.
It's a whole bunch of No romance (ME) --> Zev (DA: O) --> No romance (ME 2) --> Fenris or Anders, about evenly (DA 2) --> Kaidan playthroughs!

Probably no one and that's a first. Everyone just seems like they would be great friends but none of them would be a person my character would romance. I won't play a male character ever so Dorian is a no go. Everyone for the female side just spark little interest. I was never one of the Cullen fans so he's a wash. I'm sick of Gray Wardens in all honestly so no Blackwall. The only person that I would even remotely entertain would be Iron Bull because he's at least seems very interesting and Freddie Prinze, Jr. is doing a superb job with his voice but this is just personal, I want my character to have a human male romance.

I still don't understand that feeling, though- wanting to romance a love-interest from a previous game.
Like, my warden had a thing for Zevran, and my Hawke had Fenris. Same goes with the others- Anders, Alistair, and so on. But if any of them popped up again, taking up a character slot for what could have been a new love interest as an option, I'd probably be irritated. Even if they did look real good in the new engine, we've seen their relationships before and they'd be just as good as companions on their own as opposed to a rehashed option for a romance arc. I romanced Zevran's and Fenris's arses before. Why would I really want to do that again if there was a chance for something new? Their arcs are over and pretty much wrapped up, in my opinion.
Or if this is griping about the options you guys have now, well... I guess I have nothing to say to that other than "well, I'm sorry. Maybe in the next Dragon Age game, they'll have your kind of hot tamale. But not now in Inquisition".
I come from the fact that I never romanced Leliana in Origins because I rolled a female the first times I played through the game, as I heard the story was way more interesting that way. Sooooo yeah, you can probably see why I would still want to romance her in this upcoming installment.
I mean, I totally get where you're coming from but there are reasons for others wanting throwbacks. Don't discredit them. That being said, I need to see more about these next romance options to really know where I'm going to go with the whole love thing. So far, female elves are definitely going to be swimmin in the pool of options and I'm totally cool with that!

That's basically how my male characters go too, except I have a strong preference for Anders over Fenris and I've never been able to pick Steve over Kaidan even once. (I love Kaidan more than is probably healthy for anyone to love a fictional character.) Although, in ME2 I do usually romance Miranda, even though I tend to think of my Shepards as gay, because I just adore her.
Plus a few FemHawke/Isabela and FemShepard/Liara games. Not so much with FemWarden because Leliana is just not my cup of tea.

Definitely Dorian first, rogue Inquisitor. Thinking of playing as female mage for 2nd playthrough so maybe Cullen.

bah no one.
First i was planning sera but is a female option only. It was a letdown, but i thought, i still have the hottest character in dragon age Vivienne and sadly is not romanceable.
Cassandra was hot in DA2, but now she is too manly for me.

Have you seen the picture someone posted of Cassandara in her undies? She is anything but manly.

Ill probly try most of them or it will be like DA2 where I started with Isabella then went with Isabella on 4/5 playthroughs. But im not even sure what my first PC will be gender, race or class....so that will decide who i go with.

Male human mage: Cassandra or Josephine, but probably Josephine unless Cass surprises me.
Female elven rogue: Solas
Male dwarf warrior: Either Cass or Josephine, whomever my human mage didn't go for.
Female Qunari mage: Blackwall or Iron Bull, depending upon whom of the two I find most interesting.
Those are my four main playthroughs-- at some point I'll likely romance Dorian as well (he seems too cool not to), but the race and class of that Inquisitor are unknown at the moment)
I'm most interested in Josephine and Solas' arcs, Josephine because she can't be out in the field with you so her romance dialogue path will likely be a bit more atypical than someone like Cassandra, and Solas because he both seems like an interesting character, and I'm wondering what his reasons are for being double-gated.

First female Elf assassin, romance Solas.
Than it will depends on how much interesting are the characters. I have in mind at least a female dwarf archer for Iron Bull, a lady Qunari warrior for Blackwall and a male mage for Cassandra.

Dorian because my dalish inq hates his people for enslaving his kind and at first hates dorian. Later he realizes that dorian is different from the other mages from tevinter and the two become close and fall in love
Or josephine because she is bloody adorable and i love antivan accents. Mmm josie baby girl
