I searched the forum and didn't see it mentioned here, or anywhere else:

I was wondering what the timeline was for the three games.  DA;2 is set right after the events of DA:O.  I think by the end of DA:2, we're at least 6 years after the events in DA:O.  How long after the events of DA:2 is DA:I set?  Anyonw know?

I've made a timeline concerning what you're asking in these forums Here. I hope that helps.

The Fifth Blight started in 9:31 and ends that year.

Hawke reaches Kirkwall in 9:31

9:37 Anders causes the Mage-Templar war.

9:40 the Orlesian Civil war breaks out. and High Seeker Lambert Nullifies the Nevarran accord.

9:41 the events of Last Flight take place.

So inquisition starts sometime in the low forties. i would guess 43. just in my opinion.

Lol they didn't even try doing a good work. They put the deep roads expedition before the end of the fifth blight. It's a line for a reason bioware, you can't put an event before an other if it happened after it, even if it's the same year.

Last Flight ends in 9:42, and there is no mention of anything like what's happening in Inquisition going on in the south, so I would guess that Inquisition itself happens somewhere from later in 9:42 to 9:43.

I believe 9:43 is a safe bet because that gives thedas 3 years of chaos and will make them want a Inquisition that much more

It does!  Thanks.

So it seems the Warden's story in DA:O lasts about a year, and the events of DA:2 occur right after it, and run for about 6 years.  However, Varric's scenes with Cassandra are about three years later.  I tend to agree that the events of DA:I must start shortly after the final scenes with Cassandra in DA:2.  So that woulld place DA:I about 10 years from the start of DA:O.
