Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if it is possible for a female warden to...

A ) Romance Alistair
B ) Harden him
C ) Marry him to Anora and put him on the throne

D ) Spare Loghain and induct him into the Grey Wardens

and E ) remain in a romance with Alistair even though he leaves the party. 

The wiki makes clear that a female human noble cannot rule alongside Alistair if Loghain is spared, but is somewhat unclear on the topic of whether or not, say, a female city elf could get the ending where she becomes Alistair's mistress regardless of having spared Loghain.  I guess what it boils down to is whether or not sparing Loghain automatically ends a romance with Alistair.  Anyone know whether this is the case or not?  And if so, is the only way to have you and Alistair both alive and in a romance at the end of the game to have him do the dark ritual?

The first four, yes, but not in conjunction with the last. If you spare Loghain and make him a Warden, Alistair wants nothing more to do with you. As far as DAO is concerned, the relationship is over. He doesn't act very friendly towards you after the coronation, either, so it's possible he doesn't exactly consider you a friend right now. 

 

The only way to preserve the romance and keep both Alistair and the PC alive is to do the Dark Ritual.

Alistair sees sparing Loghain as a betrayal no matter what, unless Loghain make the ultimate sacrifice he forgives you (i did it once to see what happen), but this was as a male warden with maximum approval.

I guess it can be the same with a female, but if you keep Loghain alive he stays angry at you.

No, Alistair doesn't forgive you if Loghain dies (I did it too). He says he supposes he understands your choices and he's definitely not sad Loghain's dead, but it's pretty clear from his tone it's still not OK between the two of you.

Hum I saw this as an act of forgiveness, but it was long ago so I misunderstood this part I guess
