After you've finished the game does it scare you to be stuck in the Hawke estate with only the DLC's and the Black Emporium as the only ways out? Orana is gone. Merrill is gone too if you romanced her. All previous touchable areas are blank. It's like you're trapped in Limbo with the dwarves and dog as automated robots.

Doesn't anybody find that disturbing? I'm waiting for 'redrum' to appear on the walls.

You can play after finishing the game? I honestly did not know that.

It exist solely so you can play the DLCs.

I like it. It's nice to wander about the house and relax a bit, before saying goodbye to Hawke.

It was especially nice on the more tragic saves, where Hawke had to kill a loved one and was now all alone in the silence, just the dog and two servants left, who would soon be gone. It can also be cheery, saying goodbye to the house before running off with the love interest, ready for new adventures. Or bracing, as Hawke prepares to take up the mantle of Viscount.

So as I said, I quite like it, but it would be better if they kept the touchable areas and kept the comments neutral. The I love you note from Leandra, Anders Manifestos,  Varric Books, ponders about Lothering and such.

This. It's simply there to allow you to play the DLCs, if you didn't play/have them when you went through the game originally. There's no narrative or other point to it.
