I agree it makes no sense, but frankly, I don't think what they've done with magic spells really makes a lick of sense, as compared to DAO and DA2. They've taken Elemental and Primal and broken them into several separate trees and axed Creation and Entropy trees entirely, while sticking spells from those schools into random other trees. *shrug*
Haste has to either be the Necro focus spell or Rift focus spell. I really hope they will put up screenshots or another gameplay showing the rest of the spell trees, especially the other specialization trees.
well total speculation, but they could make rift mage haste and then give the inquisitor himself a special "riftesque" focus spell. Because I know the inquisitor has his own branch of special rift magic talents that nobody else has--and my suspicion is that it's class-based.
another possiblity: in the hinterlands demo way back when, Viv was casting haste.... so... if knight enchanter is resurgance than that may indicate that haste ISNT tied to one of the 3 prime specializations and that it is in fact a basic skill tree ability.
Unless they changed everything around, in which case who knows.

Wait, wait, wait... WHAT is that braid doing on Cassandra's head??? Skip to 6:40 of the first video to see what I'm talking about... Has she always had that??? Ladies, please explain how it's possible to have a braid like that on your head when your hair is cut as short as Cassandra's. It makes no sense... Did she grow out a rat tail, braid it and pin it on top of her head like a diadem??? It looks stupid!
It's a hairpiece. Even when a girl is tough, she wants to look pretty. ![]()

She has it since we first saw her in the 2013 E3 trailer, so I guess we can say that she always had it.

Pretty sure these aren't right either...
Just chatted with Mike Laidlaw and those crafting requirements are correct. It just assumes the Inquisition is gathering the base components (like Lyrium) and you are gathering the final ingredients (eg. Elfroot is part of a curative base used to prevent the lyrium from going too toxic.)
I swear, no matter what class or race I choose, I must plague a plethora of foes with bees.

Did anyone catch the two passives on the left hand side of the Spirit skill tree? I know the active is Dispel Magic, but I'm curious about those two.
On a related note, part of me wants to save these things for when I finally get the game, but I'm already designing my character in my head, including the order I'm going to select my abilities. (What else am I going to do for the next five weeks, work?) I have a feeling this game will need a more strategic plan in how you level your characters to optimize your effectiveness in fights. (Plus, for some reason I kinda want to get through the entire game without re-specing, even though I chugged Maker's Sigh potions like after dinner drinks in DA2.)

You know I just had a random thought... I wonder if necromancer's focus ability will be some kind of blood-magic like spell. didn't they say they were going to include blood-magic substitutes? Maybe a massive AoE hemorrhage spell
