does these videos have huge spoilers in them? please tell me cause i want to stay off spoilers as much as possible.

Depends on your definition of spoilers

It starts with a few conversations between Cass and your 3 advisors. It's quite early on the game, so it's more general information and context. There are some hints about what you will be doing later in the game though I suppose.

My point exactly. It's such a colossally bone-headed move that shouldn't even be suggested. It's at the "what do people see in this guy" level of "what where you thinking."

For a start he's the military advisor. Its his role to offer military options. Its your job to decide if its the right one for the task, thats why he's an advisor and you are the Inquisitor.

Secondly, its only bone headed if you give a rats arse about diplomacy or keeping one Dalish clan sweet. If you want this Inquisition to be run with an Iron Fist instead of a polite word, which from what we've heard is completely viable, then projecting force sends a firm message. As Cullen says, its shows the Inquisition isn't screwing around.

I'm seriously considering an Edward Longshanks type Qunari playthrough and this is exactly the type of thing he'd do.

Pretty neat, the PC UI is well done and getting some context of what we're actually trying to do is nice. Though I imagine it'll change at some point. I have a feeling 'charge your magic hand' Isn't really going to be our end goal.

I really like the stream. Thank you very much Bioware. Liked the first part about meeting your advisors and the wartable, especially Cullen's sarcastic remark

Spoiler
. Makes me even more excited to play the game.

I kinda liked it in Infinite, mostly because it isn't the traditional paradox sort-of time travel, but grounded in multi-verse theory.

Ultimately I didn't think it was annoying on the same level as a few other examples I can come up with. But there it is.

I like it too :D

I just think this trope was done to death, and pretty jarring to fit in DA setting

So the Chantry has declare us heretics? Well now that is a good kind of heresy.

Keeper Unpronounceable: "We're just checking in... our clan member isn't in trouble, are they?"

Josephine: "Let's send an elven messenger to talk to them nicely."

Inquisitor: "Sounds good. I'll consider it."

Leliana: "Let's send an elven envoy to do something nice for them."

Inquisitor: "Sounds good. I'll consider it."

Cullen: "Let's send a battalion of troops to assure them all is well."

Inquisitor: "WAT."

"Nonono, Keeper, we didn't capture the member of your clan, we swear. We just escorted her, you see, helped her on her way into a safe location. We even locked the door to make sure she was extra extra safe!"

Edit:

Cullen:

"I have another great idea! Together with the battalion of heavily armed soldiers we send them a box containing a letter from you. That letter will have to detail exactly that your totally not our prisoner, best written in your blood, so they know it's absolutly from you. We should also have a couple of elven slaves carry the box, so that they know how sympathetic we are to elves!"

As opposed to what? Limited healing and non-existent attribute allocation? Pfft. Yes, I think this "Herald of Andraste"thing is important, and if handled in an unsatisfactory way, has the potential to adversely affect my enjoyment of the game as a whole.

BTW, the options are...

The only animations I've seen that I'm not 100% happy about are those of the Inquisitor's whistle (calling the mount). The final animations look a bit cut off (he/she moves from whistle-stance to default stance instantaneously).

Otherwise, the vids look awesome. Thanks for doing the streams, BioWare. :)

best stream yet!

and honestly i for one shall welcome the "Herald of Andraste" with open arms. not because of any affiliation with the Chantry but for Andraste herself. ever since Origins i became very intrigued by her, not the "prophet" or "saint", but the "person", the "woman" part. a Tevinter slave once, then a wife of an Avvari warlord, rising to become a symbol of freedom for human and elves (or at least i believe that Shartan saw her as one), and proving herself a war leader on the battlefield and of course finally becoming the religious icon. i always had a soft-spot for the underdog so being the Herald of a woman who rose from a slave to liberator (or "saint" for some) is very appealing to me. and if we get to discover more about her in DA:I then i'll be doubly pleased.

PS: i'm also quite fond of Lagertha from the Vikings show... hm maybe there's a pattern here

I really don't get the drooling over Cullen. Maybe it's because I'm a straight guy who doesn't judge him on his sexual appeal, but he's always struck me as a bit of a tool. Granted, less of a tool in DA2 than he was in DAO, but just look at this:

Keeper Unpronounceable: "We're just checking in... our clan member isn't in trouble, are they?"

This made me laugh

In general, I liked what I've seen so far (not only from this stream). Although, I have to say that I'm not a big fan of the action-oriented combat, but that's obviously the direction Bioware wants to go with this franchise. No point in going on about this and since I also like action games I can live with this approach.

This was discussed before, but I also find the big delay whenever someone is interrupted very unsettling.

I watched the video in a smartphone so there could have been issues with the stream, however it seems to me the lip sync is a bit off.  Anyone else noticed this?

I noticed that too. The character animations were also really stiff and rigid which is a pity.

But at least it's way better than Leliana's lip sync when she was singing in DAO.

Watching this gameplay has basically confirmed for me that I'm going to wind up Skyriming the stuffing out of this game. Go to a new area, obsessively sidequest until I feel like I've stocked up on all the things that need stocking up on and like I've leveled up enough to not be brutally murdered. Then maybe I'll chip away at the main quest, after I've done some exploring.

My playthroughs are going to take a loooooooong time.

Yeah, same here. I'm an obsessive completionist and Skyrim almost killed me. DAI appears to have fewer caves and settlements but that's more than made up by the number of other interesting places. I wonder if I'll get the game completed this year. Probably I won't be quite as obsessive because I'll be too curious about the story.

Cullen is superbly done (I'm straight male btw). Only thing i find Leliana is a little pale. I remember back then on DAO she isn't that fair was it?
