i believe as long as you have x64 system you can run this game.
No, but seriously.
Personally, my computer has 4 ram but it's only using 3.25 which is just 0.75 short of the minimum requirement...Hnnnnng!
I have an i5 2500k CPU installed in my present PC. I also have an i7 CPU in another computer (non-k). My MOB, GPU, PSU,RAM etc. are more.................. than adequate for this game, but I want to have the better CPU in while playing it, can I use the i5K or should I swap it out with the i7?

MSI GF GTX 750 Ti TF Graphics Card 2GB
16 RAM

Recommend upgrading to 64bit os and more ram (changing os is free I think)
Probably going to stick with the 360, but I just needed to know if it will even be possible.....
Not with a UMA. That uses system ram as video memory.

Perhaps with the lowest of the low settings it might. Nothing near what a PS4 or the Xbox One will get graphically. Either way if you do preorder from Origin you can get your money back from their Risk-free gaming.

i5 2500k shouldn't be an issue with this game. No need to do a swap out.

I need the right hardware and a 64 bit installation disk, as far as I'm aware.
I might just purchase a new computer seeing as the one i'm using currently is about 4 years old. I'm not certain if upgrading it consistently will help.
My system:
Windows 7 Professional
Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU 8200 @ 2.33GHz 2.33GHz
Ram: 4GB (3.25 is used)
System: 32 bit

On the Windows operating system, go to the Start menu > All Programs. Open the Accessories folder, then the System Tools folder. In the System Tools folder, select the System Information option.
From where it says System Type if it says x64-based PC then you have a system that's designed to work in 64 bit. If it's x86 instead than the CPU is a 32-bit system. A 64-bit CPU can use both 32 and 64-bit operating systems. If you're using an Intel Core 2/i3/i5/i7 then all those are usually 64-bit (Depends on the Core 2 parts). AMD had their since AMD 64 bit ones.
Edit: Added the 2/i3/i5/i7 parts to my post

It's X86 so it's designed for a 32 bit system.
Was merely contemplating if it was worth the effort to invest in a new one. /shrug.
Quite probably. A system with 8GB of RAM is much nicer than 1 with only 4 (or 3.5 due to hardware req and adressing limits)

So, I was originally intending to use this computer (which I bought 6 months ago) for just work, but then I decided my 360 wasn't going to be enough for Inquisition... So it has no RAM and I think the graphics card sucks, but I know next to nothing about hardware. I was trying to compare it to the above responses, but it looks like they're all Intel, and this is AMD. Here's my system:
Model: HP Pro 3515 Series
Processor: AMD A6-5400K APU with Radeon HD Graphics 3.60 GHz
Installed memory: 4.00 GB (3.40 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit Operating System (Windows 7 Professional)
Any tips? Do you think it's worth upgrading? I know RAM is pretty easy to upgrade.. Not sure about the graphics card. How decent is the processor?

I can run BF4 fine on my machine on medium

If you're just rolling with the onboard that's probably gonna be stretched to run DAI at a playable framerate on any setting. The A10-8600k (I think that's it) is about as low as I'd be willing to go for running modern games. My guess, integrated graphics alone won't cut it unless you have something new and top of the line. Now the good thing about them is that you can get a hybrid-crossfire setup going on there where the onboard basically gives a boost to the GPU. That said, if you are gonna get a GPU I'd aim for the mid to high end of the last generation. You'd need to check your power consumption, airflow and space (some GPUs are gigantic) but a middle of the pack GPU should knock this up to the point where it runs on medium, at least 720p 30fps. Probably would handle 1080p alright as well. No point in getting an expensive GPU for an upgrade to that though, the CPU would bottleneck newer cards something fierce so there's really no reason to over commit.
And yeah, while you're at it you might as well throw in some new RAM. I'd suggest no lower than 8GBs 1600mhz, but I prefer 1866mhz. It's a little more efficient, and depending on how well your processor handles the information transfer it can give a little bump. 1333mhz is still kinda the standard, but 1600 has overtaken that recently and 1866 is falling into the same place 1600 was a couple years ago. More RAM is more insurance for annoying browser memory leaks, and that's about it right now. It'll be another couple years before 8GB goes from being recommended to required.
I know in the recent stream they said it would have out of the box support for Crossfire, but I remember BF4 running like absolute garbage on my SLI setup at launch. Literally unplayable, and still had the skipping problem when I turned it off. Anyone on here that can answer whether or not this Frostbite 3 game will play nicer with SLI out of the box? It's the difference between medium setting and high-ultra or downsampling.

Problems with Frostbite 3 early on have been dealt with and does play nicer with SLI. You shouldn't have issues as long as you have current drivers.
Will the game run on Windows 7 Professional?

Yes as long it's 64 bit as listed in the system requirements.

Thank you. I know what must be done.
Why does the operating system need to be 64 bit to utilize more than 4Gig ram btw? What exactly does 32 vs 64 bit operating system do?
If its possible to explain that in layman terms...
