In DA2, you couldn't make Aveline a 2-Hander or Fenris a S&S, so I was wondering is this going to be the same of companions with DAI?
Do Rogue and Warrior Companions have set Weapon types?

In the twitch that just finished airing, Cam and Mike just clarified that each char has a specific specialization, but that they can use different weapons if desired. Cass - the default tank, can use a two hander, Iron Bull can be a sword and shield, Sera can use daggers or bows etc.

Alrighty, that's great to know. I'm assuming the one exception will be Varric because of Bianca.

Varric will be able to equip daggers, but not bows.
