Stop embarrassing Mikasa, she hates rogues. She a warrior. Remember how she hunted down the rogues who Princess Peached her precious Eren?Mikasa is clearly a very skilled rogue.

Dw warrior was by far my favorite class in DAO, and no I don't care that rogues were more statistically optimal, the idea of duel wielding swords while wearing heavy armor was just so satisfying and unique. I haven't been able to go back to the warrior class since, S&B and 2h are just boring in comparison. Bioware's whole argument about "making the classes more distinct" may sound reasonable in theory, but in practice it just makes it much more difficult to play the character you want to play, which is especially frustrating given the precedent set in DAO, what did every warrior in thedas just suddenly forget how to duel-wield (except the Arishok apparently) while all the rogues forgot what swords are? They had it right in Swkotor, were every class had access to duel wielding and double bladed weapons with a stat penalty that could be reduced by buying into a skill, which every class had access to.

The dual wield warrior is in the same place where the blood mage and the spirit healer are. It seems every spec/build I like get removed by bioware later.

I played it. I enjoyed it. Then I played a DW Rogue and never went back.
Sometimes it's nice just to dual-wield swords and axes, though.
Really, though, I suspect they'll bring it back eventually, but with its own unique talent tree distinct from the rogue one.
I had the exact opposite reaction. I tried DW rogue, it bored me. DW Warrior dishes out more damage and doesn't have to waste time flanking or avoiding being hit.

Never used D.W. as a warrior DA:O.

I guess it's to give rogues a unique feel. I mean rogues either pick dual wield or archery, warriors have sword and shield and 2-h already, giving them dual wield would be overkill. Btw mages lost the most with spirit healer and blood magic out of the picture.
Just out of curiosity, but it's a game similar to neverwinter nights?

You can outfit Rogues in heavy armor if you really wanted in this game, right?
And these new Rogues aren't backstab based, am I correct?
It's not the same, but it's approachable.

Rogues already had a unique feel in DA:O with a wider variety of skills, different specializations, and fundamentally different ways of approaching combat; warriors were supposed to be masters of all martial forms of fighting, which includes duel-wield and archery, that was the established lore precedent. Besides, rogues seem popular enough without having to rob the warriors of half of their combat tree ![]()

No, it was the game before Neverwinter Nights.
That link is to the Beamdog produced "Enhanced Edition" of the game which has not yet been released. (hopefully this holiday season)
Icewind Dale was an infinity engine game released in 2000, much like Baldurs Gate and BG2. But instead of creating only 1 character you create all 6. It was said to be more "focused on combat" than BG, but I found it be basically the same, with just as good a story. (also because I always created all 6 of my own chars in BG as well)

I never understood the fascination with dual wield warriors. Sword and shield was the only weapon style that appealed to me the few times I actually played as a warrior, but beyond that, rogues could dual wield full-sized weapons and had the additional benefits of lockpicking, backstabs, Coup de Grace, and a 1/5 chance to dodge all attacks. Dual wield warriors seemed lacking in comparison...

I'll never understand weapon restrictions. If we have the stats, let us equip the weapons.
People who don't like dual wielding or archery warriors can ignore them and people who want a DW or archery warrior should be allowed to have them.
Everybody wins!

Sadly you can't.
For some strange reason someone at bioware thinks a dual wielding warrior who uses one handed swords and stands toe to toe in the front line of combat like a ...warrior while using quick sustain dmg is too "similar" to a rogue, who uses stealth and quick-burst dmg with tiny daggers.
Even though to me they are completely and utterly "different" in terms of playstyle, about a smuch as any other "class" can be.
It was my favorite class from DA:O too, and I HATE "rogues" in rpgs, all squishy, can't toe tot oe fight well and they are nothing like what "rogues" used to be (IE A fencer type of swashbuckler, which to me is far more interesting as a rogue then this crap that passes for rogues in rpgs these days).
Not to mention rogues get detecting traps, lockpicking, what the heck do warriors get? How much more DIFFERENT can they be from warriors to not allow warriors to dual wield because it's too "similar" to a rogue? I just don't see how that is a valid excuse like I've seen thrown around.
It's not enough to get me to pass up DA:I, it looks great to me and I can't wait for it, but I seriously just don't see any "class" that fits the playstyle I liked with the warrior, two handed is just so dang slow.

I miss being able to dual-weild axes.
You could dull wield axes with the rogue in origins also, buy taking the duel-weapon mastery skill.

I know. That's actually my preferred approach. Two axes on a Rogue.
I usually name him Ivid.

Sadly no dual wield warrior in DAI. I played it in DAO and it was so much fun. I find warriors boring otherwise. But dual wield rogue in DA2 was just as fun to me, so I wouldn't not get the game just because of this lol.

First: the division of countries in categories like first, second and third world is outdated ever since the 50s.
Secondly: this is a gaming forum. To keep with your understanding of the term, how many people with second or third world problems do you believe are going to bother with the latest, fanciest WRPG? Of bloody course it would be a problem for only those with enough disposable income. In relation to that? Do you complain about holes in your roof? First world problem!
And yet everyone still talks about developing and developed. So the only real change has been the removal of the second world country category.
Also, not everyone in a developing country is poor. For some people in those countries, their biggest problem is the lack of healing in DA:I.
Coincidentally I did have a big hole in my roof a few weeks ago.

Well the correct answer is no DW warriors storywise and multiplayer will grow to infinity so the chances of an online version are very very high. They released a ton of race/class combos for ME 3 multiplayer that did not exist in the game itself or was even playable otherwise so keep requesting and they may patch that into the warrior line up eventually.
