It's been over a year since my last playthrough, but I seem to remember not being able to get any of them to just stay the hell put unless they were the active selection (the person who looks like they're selected). Everybody else would just run off and do whatever they wanted.
Yea, I can confirm this. Just had a fight where I set Carver's tactics to Cautious, AND unchecked every slot in the list, and he still ran around a corner and got hit with about 20 arrows.

Was there any indication if MP mode has tactical cam or is it just action cam? Having to manually engage every swing or shot can get really frustrating really fast, especially if one doesn't use gamepad.
I believe in the PC gameplay stream it was said that multiplayer has no pause and no tac-cam.

In the previous titles I got around by clicking in the distance. For instance the Ostagar bridge. A long straight run, pressing W the whole way is irritating and hurts my fingers. Clicking the other end of the bridge worked great.
Apparently you can stay in tac cam and click to move so this may not be an issue. You can also tilt the camera so that you can see where you're going. The only question is how often you get booted out of tac cam, and are forced to adjust the camera angle and such to continue.
This series could use an auto run toggle.

Someone joining the team in september does not mean they only started testing the interface then. Just like how the person who joined the gameplay team yesterday does not mean they only started testing gameplay yesterday.

This is true, however they also refused to talk about the PC interface until recently. Previously, every dev comment was about controller play. I got the impression they simply weren't bothering with it.

You needed to disable his tactics, and press the hold button. I believe. It may have invovled more.

I never got that impression at all because as I recall the developers did still tell us for there would be a PC interface and that they would show it when it was ready. And every comment was about controller play simply because the interface for it was sort of ready. Not to mention it is generally easier to show off a game with a controller, especially at conventions.

TL:DR, is it an active toggle for PC as well? I don't want a click fest game like Diablo. I want to be able to have my chars auto attack when their not doing anything else though it gets a bit tricky with the KE. Also I was hoping that the auto attack could be set by way of AI and that I could have a char always auto attack, even my controled character when I am out of stamina/mana. Do we know if it is an active toggle or a one click toggle for PC?

In non tactical mode you have to hold down a button to attack repeatedly, or tap it once for one attack, obviously. This only applies to the character you are currently controlling. the others auto attack.
In tactical mode you have auto attack for all characters. You can adjust the tactical camera so it's in 3rd person view and play like that the whole game if you wish. I have no idea how feasible this really is, however.

That was obvious.
Even though the 1st reveal video said the "combat head" was designed on PC first, I knew it was just a buzz word description. The combat system would not have all these vital missing details like auto attack if it were a pc first design.
Sad but true.
