I'm a completionist and I'm probably going to be playing on Nightmare, so I kind of expect my first DA:I playthrough to be pretty up there in the hour count.

I fully completed DA:O 4 times, ranging from 40-70 hours each, as well as two mostly-complete playthroughs (30 hours or so each) and a bunch of 5-10 hour runs. I played DA:A twice, at around 7-12 hours. DA2 I finished 3 times, but the first time (on Nightmare) took 96 hours. The others were far, far shorter.

Pretty sure it was only like 150.

I don't think comparing DAI to Ass Creed is useful.  The AC sidequests had little to offer by way of increasing the story, world, or lore, if the rest of the DA series is any indicator their sidequests will expand these things.  In addition, longer main story quest doesn't mean better.  I enjoyed The Old Republic, but the slow pace story was doled out for what amounted to grinding made me lose interest in the story.

I'm hoping that DAI exploration will have story outside of dialogue where the world itself tells a story of what happened there and who lives there, much like the Bioshocks did where details in the environment made the place feel lived in.  If that is true then exploring the world in endgame will be more than a grind.

Even if all the sidequests in DA:I give you is more codex entries they'll still be more interesting than AssCreed's 'Collect 17 alligator eggs for a new hat'.
