I was very strongly leaning towards rift mage with a minor interest in necromancy and no interest whatsoever in KE ... and then I watched the latest video. So now I'm torn between Rift Mage and Knight Enchanter for my first run. I'm equally torn between Female Dalish Mage and Female Human Mage. I guess it will all depend on my mood at the start of the game.

 

I'll be rolling at least three different mage play throughs though, so I'll definitely get to try each of the specializations.

 

My second playthrough will be a rogue and I'm leaning towards Tempast until new information emerges to tempt me towards another direction.

 

Still missing the Shadow and Blood Mage specializations, but what can you do?

Since we haven't seen most of the classes it's a knife in the dark.

 

Necro, Reaver. Assassin.

 

KE has limited melee moves / "swipes" from the footage.. why would i want to play melee without a variety of melee moves? For that, stick to a class that specializes in punching;) Warrior.  That KE materialize into an enemy does sound fun though. May I'll run a KE later.

Theres so many good options in this game I can't decide. I always liked the reaver from previous games but these new knight enhancer and necromancer options look too fun to pass up.

I'll have a character for each specialization.

First mage will be Knight Enchanter, first rogue will be an Assassin, first warrior will be a templar.

From then on its a matter of what allures me first.

I always choose spec for lore and rp purposes, which is why I always picked shapeshifter in DA:O despite it being one of the less useful ones. At the moment I'm torn between Rift Mage and Necromancer.

 

On the one hand I like the idea of the Inquisitor being spurred on by their glowing green hand to find out everything they can about the fade, but on the other I've always wanted play a character that can bind spirits and demons to their will. Who needs to recruit soldiers and servants when you can just make your own?

I am leaning toward a Reaver (it's what I did in DA:O, Reaver/Berserker), was hoping fo ra good melee mage hybrid but the KE just didn't seem to really fulfill what I was hoping for.

First playthrough I'm still stuck between qunari templar or reaver, the deciding factor will be if I need to use lyrium since cassandra doesn't it gives me hope, but if that is a requirement then I'm going reaver.

Depends on what the reaver and the champion specs look like.  I was originally going to go female qunari knight enchanter, but I'm dropping the knight enchanter part.  It looked short on actual melee abilities, and the sword was visually underwhelming.  So I'm going back to warrior for my melee.

Really want to do Knight Enchanter for my Inquisitor, but that depends on what Dorian's spec is (assuming I'm correct in recalling that all the character's specs are fixed and each one has a different one...I think that was confirmed in the latest twitch stream?). So hopefully Dorian is Necromancer and I'll be happy. I can rotate other party members, but not Dorian!

First play-through will Padraig, Human male Reaver or Templar.

 

Second will most likely be a Rogue, not sure on a name. Probably going to end up a Tempest with daggers.
