First of all I want to state I just got the game and I having trouble recruiting liliana and sten. First of all when i finsih the sequence when loghains men try to arrest I go through the dialouge options with liliana and after I say I could use her help(or something like that) and doesn't do anything and doesn't add her to my party. Second when I do sten's quest and finish it, it doesn't add him to my party. I just want to know if this is a glitch or do I need to progrss further to get them?

Whenever somebody new joins the team, it takes me to the party selection screen... is that not happening for you?  Have you gone there manually to check and see if they were added?

Im not being taken to the party selection screen although I did notice it flash one time but when I went to check they weren't there.

Sounds like a glitch and hopefully someone will come and tell you how to fix it. I got no clue. Sorry.

decided to restart my playhtrough and if it works Ill playthrough the game and if not Ill just wait for dragon age inquisition

Are you on the PC? Are you using any mods that add characters or affect the party picker?

Yes I am on PC and was using mods but decided since I had a problem has already occured not to use mods and just do a regular playhtrough.

If you have the problem again without mods, try to keep playing until you leave Lothering and get back to your camp site. The new companions might be there.
