So we can change the armor color through crafting?

If I recall correctly, in the recent PC stream, the dev mentioned that the redish looking color of his Inquisitor's armor was the result of the ingredients he used to craft the armor. The way that I comprehended it was that depending on the items used to craft a armor, would result in a particular color. So, does this mean that all craftable armors are able to appear in various colors such as white, black, blue, green, red etc....and if we find the right ingredients, we can achieve our desired color? Or did that armor that the dev crafted could only be done in the redish color and possibly another color and he just went with the items to produce the redish color?

The armor takes the color of the material that it is made from. For example, something made from silverite would have a shiny, silver color.

So that mean..no dye system right ? And that also mean , even if you do get the color you want..the armor may not be what you want and vice versa . Aye..tis gonna be fun

Correct no dye system, but they said they are looking into having a dye system.

You can name the stuff you craft, though. Nice feature.

No dyes so far.

As for the armor not being what you want: Then simply use a different schematic that IS what you want.

There's 400 crafting schematics divided between weapons, armor and potions/grenades.

Yep no dye system sucks....But i believe they stated previously (sorry no link) that despite what material you use you can keep the original color of the item. I don't see why they couldn't add a dye system/color selector easily...Hell the mod for DAO the winter forge and the universal dye mod added it to that game.

they didnt have a dye system in the previous games, why should they include one?  (would be nice, but im not complaining at all)  Mods dont count as they are 3rd party add ons.

They didn't have this kind of crafting in the previous games, so it only makes sense that they should have included a dye system in this one that does have an advanced crafting system....I mentioned the mods because if a mod can add crafting and dye systems into game that didn't ship with one then the Devs should have no excuse for not adding a simple dye system into a game that does ship with a crafting system.

Having a dye system with a crafting system is..well just plain common sense.

I disagree. A dye and a craft are 2 well different things. Remember, according to bioware, their frostbite 3 is not moddable. I won't be surprised that combining these two processes is not the simplest thing especially because it didn't exist before and they have to imagine how to implement that in this game... But they surely will sooner or later.
