2 matches so far tonight on gold. 45k with arc 72k with black widow. Gonna try crusader then reegar.

IMO: It's Arc Pistol or GTFO. Hurricane is an acceptable runner up.

Why? Well, besides the incredibly obvious damage of both the Pistol and the powers with a heavy barrel and a power damage mod, there's also the issue of cooldowns. Yes, the three second cloak thing is very much a thing, but for a class who can dish out so much damage without even being in the line of sight of the target that's dying, the ability to use the cloak for more supportive actions like raising a downed ally is a godsend. Because let's face it. People die. We can all make mistakes, and it happens to the best of us. It happens even MORE to the worst of us, which oversaturate Gold/Platinum, so yeah.

 

Taking a heavier weapon just limits you purely to the tap cloak for damage approach. While this is also true for many (and dare I say MOST) infiltrators, the simple fact that DC can still do damage while you're taking more supportive or evasive actions is far more precious than squeezing out a little more damage on her.

EDIT: Disclaimer before everyone shoves their shotguns down my throat: Again, I carry most of my games and don't think I'm that good. Combine the two factors, and that makes me a rather defensive player. I admit this is not the fastest way of killing everything. But this has saved many a platinum duo gone south.

The real trick with her is to wait a second with your shooting at banshees so you can get a warp in. If you time it properly, you'll start off with a banshee with full health, and in the time it takes you to cloak, DC, and then cloak again and warp(and thus detonate), you'll take the banshee down to less than half its armor. A few more headshots and it's down for the count.

 

Huntress is really weird for me as a character because i'm pretty sure she actually takes down armored units faster than she takes down mooks. Do it right and a single dark channel can lead to a half dozen biotic booms, and kill entire waves. Brutes die in a split second, banshees take maybe 4. Warp ammo is, of course, necessary. 

 

She's also one of the most overpowered characters to exist. I don't even bother using equipment on her anymore on gold.

I like using the Particle Rifle on her. Ext mag + piercing mod and Warp Ammo.

So you're killing banshees in 4 seconds?  Without assistance?  Not saying I don't believe you, but I'd enjoy seeing a video of that.  Ok, maybe I don't believe you.

the huntress is so good that she can kill banshees with her bare hands.

 

i use a 66653 build with power damage bonuses. dat dark channel can eat away anything quickly. it's like biotic aids.

Agree, the PPR with warp ammo works really well on her also. But I wonder if the dmg barrel might be a better option than the piercing mod given the increased biotic damage?

I m not sure i get U, but no, it seems piercing is better 40/38 vs health/armor and 47/30 if U take the dmg barrel (even after warp).

Thanks for the input, so I guess then the dmg barrel will provide a bit more dmg (and there are lots of mooks around also on plat)

I tried her a few times with PPR and the high velocity barrel, but even at high levels the PPR get's a bit to heavy, so delays between TCs become a bit to long.

I know what powers the huntress has.  I'd still like to see it, and I'm not being snarky when I say that.  I've been playing this game for 2 years on Xbox with a lot of BSNers and I don't think I've ever seen a huntress (or maybe anyone else?) take down a banshee in 4 seconds singlehandedly, except maybe with a Reegar incendiary, and that's not the build he was proposing.  It would be cool to see a video of that happening.

Seeing as he's using an arc pistol, he's obviously exaggerating (in negative). But it can be done with a reegar I guess, yeah... And probably even with warp ammo instead of incendiary...

Arc Pistol is too weak on her.  Sometimes it takes 2 whole charged shots to kill a platinum humanoid.  Ain't nobody got time for that.

Then you biotic boom with warp, giving you an additional 1500 damage from the boom +~3000 damage from the warp. This takes 'prox 3 seconds so far, resulting in around 20000 damage in 3 seconds. Then another 1.5 seconds finishes her off.

Except that Banshees, like all bosses, only get a 40% headshot bonus.  You won't get 4k damage per shot.

 

I like Talon the best on the Huntress because it has a 1.5x bonus to shields and DC has a 50% weakness to shields.  It's also basically a guaranteed stagger and like all shotguns is mostly immune to shieldgate so you don't waste much of the potential damage that warp rounds is giving you.
