I fare better with the talon that the Arc Pistol... L2Aim, I know....

This could be a big factor, especially for console players.

Talon and Arc Pistol are both really good weapons. Arc Pistol is generally going to come out on top though in skilled hands, that's true on any difficulty, especially if you can hit the head. Talon on the other hands probably is better on anything with accuracy increasing powers like Hunter mode, marksman, or even devastator mode. It's all about whether you can put all the pellets into the head hit box consistently with the Talon.

That's JMO both are fine weapons and without a doubt the best two overall pistols in the game. Suppressor becomes a factor if only considering infantry disposal.

Some more thoughts on the Huntress and especially Dark Channel which is anything but weak (if the above post was meant seriously - otherwise: ignore the following).

1) Put some points into Warp for biotic explosions. That is a must, because there won't always be another biotic around to detonate! How many points is obviously up to your liking. If you want to go to 6 ranks in fitness, you should go 3 in Asari Huntress and 5 in Warp or vice versa. The extra damage against armor of DCs rank 6 is a must for me, as is the power damage of rank 6 tactical cloak.

2) Take down shields or barriers of boss units with an Acolyte as a light secondary weapon (if the Acolyte does it quicker than your primary weapon and - of course - you don't use another pistol as primary). Because DC is especially great against armor, taking down shields/barriers quickly and letting DC do its extra damage against armor is a good strategy.

3) Find your rhythm against tougher units: cloak, DC, shoot, cloak, warp, shoot and the same from the beginning again.

4) Remember that Dark Channel jumps around from a dead enemy to the next living one for as long as it finds an enemy near the dead one, it still has time on its own duration left and you don't use the power again. Use that to your advantage!

Example: you see a group of mooks. Put Dark Channel on one, shoot, mook is probably dead -> DC jumps to the next -> fire warp on that next enemy for a biotic explosion that kills that one -> DC jumps -> warp on the next for another kill with a biotic explosion and so on. You can get multiple biotic explosions out of one DC use if it jumps to multiple enemies.

You see a boss unit surrounded by mooks that can't get quickly away from that boos unit? Cloak, put DC on the boss, shoot on the boss, cloak, warp on the boss for a biotic explosion that will kill or damage some of the mooks around the boss and then do it again.

You see a boss and one lonely mook? Put DC on the mook, shoot on the boss, mook dies from DC alone, DC jumps to the boss, warp on the boss -> boom and back to the usual boss rhythm.

You have two bosses? Focus on one and after the kill, when DC jumps to the second, you start your cycle for the second boss with cloak and warp for an immediate biotic explosion instead of casting DC first.

5) You hate some particular enemies and would rather avoid them? Fine, put Dark Channel on them, go kill some other stuff with shooting and warp only and DC will kill alot of those hated enemies on its own. Its own damage is either 30*112.5 per second before extra multipliers or 42*90 per second depending on the duration you choose.

6) You have to run across an enemy in your path? Put DC on it to stagger it for a split second and let DC weaken or kill that enemy while you run to your next position.

----

I think that is all you need to know. DC is like tech armor. ;) You can use it in any situation...

My post was serious. I've only played her about 4 times and I'm pretty clueless with her, so thank you for the helpful post. I'll give her another go.

So just to be clear, if I cloak and then cast Dark Channel, the cloak's bonus applies for the entire duration of DC and not just the typical one or two seconds of cloak bonus?

Regarding the praetorian bubble, I just played a match where I cast DC on a grounded praetorian, then it took off and someone else caused it to bubble; it died while bubbled and the killfeed credited my DC.

Regarding the TC damage bonus duration, I believe it does apply to the entire duration of Dark Channel, but I'd await confirmation before taking my word for it.

Regarding the Praetorian Bubble, it doesn't remove existing DoT effects, so your Dark Channel, if cast before the bubble goes up, will continue to damage the Praetorian after the bubble comes up.

The cloak bonus will last for the duration of the DC.
