Great trailer! my favorite bit is seeing skyhold from the top of a seemingly cold mountain " there is a place that awaits for a force to hold, there is a place where inquisition can build, grow" EPIC!

I found the music great but the footage actually very lackluster, dont think they be bringing in any more sales with this one tbh

 

Honestly I think most forumites are too close to this to make that judgement objectively.

 

I'm been looking at the youtube mirror posts and game sites.

This trailer is picking up a good deal of positivity (alongside the usual Trolls).

I agree entirely. I've seen more good comments for this game than for any game in a long time. Even bastions of negativity like the comment sections of IGN and destructoid have been fairly positive (a very rare thing). Forumites are going to get stuck on where the hair is parted or what color the characters eyes are, but your normal gamer is just looking at whether the game seems fun. The free origins also seems to have brought a lot of good will. A lot of people seem to have downloaded it and are enjoying it.

 

I just looked at the IGN comments section for the new trailer and my jaw dropped. Almost all of it was positive. This NEVER happens. Here's hoping for one hell of a blockbuster!

I now envision our three heroes as Thedas' equivalent to the Three Stooges: Inquisiter is Moe, Hawke is Curly and Warden is Larry (or Harpo because, y'know, mute). Make it happen Bioware.

If this is the truth I'm going to kill Hawke...just to ensure he/she won't unleash another ancient evils that would cause something bad to happen in the next DA game. Seriously, Hawke is a walking disaster. just kidding, but it's so tempting to murder knife Hawke. 

Great trailer, by the way though not as strong as the Enemies of Thedas trailer, looking forward to the release.

Spoilers: like the end of Guardians of the Galaxy the heroes distract the Elder One long enough to defeat him via Vaudeville act.

OT: Anyone else find it a little strange the line about "this conflict was caused by questions of the next life we should concentrate on making this one better" a little odd? The Mage-Templar war isn't a religious war they don't even disagree on the essential Andrastrian points on magic and the fade.

I don't think they're talking about the Mage-Templar War.  Probably something to do with the Elder One.

Well her old model was purple but the horns look different.

 

Yah, her DA2 horns were more vertical to match her hair. The dragon in the video seemed to have more horizontal horns. When I saw the shade color of the dragon I did think for a second that it may be her. Perhaps Morrigan has learned a new trick?

I've considered it a blessing....  All the blondes in Dragon Age thus far have been complete idiots.  Here's hoping Sera breaks the mold...

Strangely enough, my favourite part of this trailer was when the sword-and-board inquisitor banged his sword on his shield, kind of taunting and saying, "I'm ready. Come at me... if you dare."

 

In that exact second, I felt like creating a warrior inquisitor... and I usually never have any interest in playing warriors!

 

I don't know if that's an actual scene in the game (the sword-and-shield-banging gesture would likely be different for a mage and rogue character), or if it's something they just created for coolness for the trailer. I hope it's the former!
