What's wrong with a single welldone unisex casual walk that everyone would be happy with?

Well, the first thing that comes to mind is finding a welldone unisex casual walk that everyone would be happy with.

True enough

That said this hipsway in gameplay and then man walk in cinematics is pretty much the worst of both worlds. Even when I do have feminine characters if they were strutting anywhere it'd be where they felt safe. Not when they were in the damn wilderness. =/

Yep. And they could keep the gender neutralish animations for the cinematics so they wouldn't have to remake the same scenes multiple times over. It'd be a compromise at least :(

I usually pick the default or swagger options :P unless I"m making a girly girl. Then it's hip sway all the way.

Not sure why they got rid if the choices for SR3-4, but I did like the female walk, so it didn't bother me.

The saints row female walk...I didn't notice it as particularly good or bad XD I was too busy flying around punching people in the face I guess.

Edit: walk not voice XD

Well, that was the best part. I would spend so much time running at pedestrians and suplexing or drop kicking them, then dash into Friendly Fire to take the heat off, rinse and repeat. Ah, good times.

Ideally you should be able to choose different body language rigs similar to voice choice. If they have time to make the rigs for to Aveline plant herself like a tree, Merrill like she's standing on the head of a pin, Fenris check his foot pads like a monkey, and you could mod Hawke to use any of those rigs regardless of gender, I don't think one unisex rig for all inquisitors is the answer.

Unless the gender choice is unisex too and we play a bishounen anime character. Then it's ok.

Yeah, the inquisitor moved around so weird. Who actually walks like that?

Okay, look, I don't think anyone is trying to insult anyone who does walk like this offline. I'm just saying that it's pretty rare, and that I'd prefer to see something that appears more casual and intuitive.

Calling it a hooker slutwalk might not be the best way to not insult people who walks that way offline tbh.

Okay, I can't hold this joke in anymore.  When I saw the lady elven PC walk, the first thing that came to mind was this.  This is one of the last lines of dialogue that Cloud (or anyone has) in the game before Sephiroth:

Of course not, and you'll see I've not said anything of the sort. I've spoken out against negative terminology throughout this whole thread.

...Let's not fight about negativity, okay?  Most agree that the terms are not cool or polite.  Let's just try to be civil with this.   :P

Also, before anyone starts putting words into each other's mouths, just quote the post you are referring to.  This will help prevent mix-ups.  If someone has made a comment, make sure you put that quote into your post.  Not just the very last thing they said.

You liked that post calling it a hooker walk tho. I guess my idea of liking something is different than yours.

Apologies, I'll reword my post to say I, not we. I don't speak for everyone, of course, just trying to smooth over hurt feelings.

Okay, that's just not right.    Folks can like or dislike a point without 100% agreeing with it.  I've liked posts that weren't in line with my opinions personally, but I still thought the point was valid.

Like I said, different idea of what's likeable. I can like things I don't agree with, but calling it a hooker walk crosses the line just a little for me. Guess not for you.

Oh my god, you're policing my likes now? I liked that post because I agreed with aspects of it, the idea of walking as if you're in heels even while in flats.

I liked an aspect of a post, while I was annoyed at the use of the word hooker that didn't make the point I agreed with any less valid.

Same here.  I thought the use of the word was crass, but otherwise I agreed with the general point.   I would have used the term, "dance club-walk" myself.  I would affect a walk very similar to the (non-elven) PCs when I was going into a dance club to show off a bit.   It was the "time and place" aspect of the point I agreed with.

Nope, just being a little passive aggressive, don't mind me.

You liked the posts disagreeing with that wording too, so I don't have much cause to get on your case about it, I know. Doesn't make much sense to me still, or at least, not what I'd do, but whatever.

Let me just say, I definitely get less sympathetic to the argument you're supporting every time I see it being framed so carelessly.
