I will not read reviews ( not after Diana Allers things), I will just pay those 4,99 S in November, and play DA:I with EA access service on my Xbone. That's the best way to check this game before release date for me.
Will anyone read reviews before buying?

The more info that comes out, the happier I am with that decision. They made a lot of gameplay tweaks that I consider improvements, and I already know the story will be great because it's Bioware.
Besides, I'm kind of eccentric when it comes to combat (I'll reload mid-combat if I realize that there's a more efficient solution to the encounter), so reviews wouldn't tell me much anyway.

No, I'm crossing the street without looking both ways on this one.

What's the point of reading reviews?
I stopped a long time ago, so in full earnest I cannot be sure of that they're as corrupted or have as bad taste as they used to.
But anyway, no. I can't remember a review that has been relevant for me. There must have been, but I can't remember.
No, I'll do this: I'll buy the game. Period. The only things that can stop me from doing that, is EA and Origin. Hopefully EA's suits won't have any too crazy ideas this time, so that won't happen. Why will I buy the game? Because I'm so curious about the game and since DA once was such a big thing in my gaming life. I cannot yet turn my back on DA. That I should not explore this sequel personally is unthinkable.
Then two things could happen. Either, I'm happy enough with the game, and then everything is fine.
Or, I'm not so happy with the game. If this happens, I won't begrudge Bioware or EA the money I paid them. They tried their best. They at least did that. So they're welcome to keep my money. I paid them willingly, fully knowing that it could be a DA2:2 on steroids. At least I tried out the game myself, with my own eyes. So is fine. What happens after that is pointless to discuss or think about now.

... So as long as they don't somehow make it worse than DA2 I should be safe lol...fingers crossed eh?
Is that even possible? the only way it would be worse is making a text based game

They could make a new game featuring the ninja boy and his plot armor from ME3. That would be far worse than DA2.

Nope. I'll be getting it first thing on that Tuesday morning regardless.
I enjoyed DA2 and supposedly that was the worst game ever, so I feel like it's all uphill from here. (Although, I do hope it's better than DA2. I did enjoy it, but I do agree it had some serious issues.)
If it's half as good as ME3, I'll be thrilled.

I wonder how many of the people here saying they're going to wait for customer reviews actually would have boycotted DA2 and ME3 after reading customer reviews.... My guess is that anyone vested enough to post on these forums would have had a hard time doing so.
Keep in mind, those games currently sit (at least on the Xbox 360) at a user score of 4.4 and 5.7 respectively. That's absolutely retarded scoring! So you guys go ahead and trust those idiots giving out absolute 0s on good games and perfect 10s on flawed games, but I sure as hell won't! I don't always agree with the professional reviews, but I find them a whole lot more accurate than user reviews.

Yes, but i will probably still get it even if the reviews rate low.

It's about more than just boycotting a game. It's also about when (and at what price) you end up buying the games.
Take ME3, due to several issues that came up after release, but mainly (for me) the multiplayer affecting singleplayer, I waited until the price dropped to $10 to buy it.
That's what waiting for reviews does.
The better the customer reviews, the more likely I am to pay full retail for a game, otherwise, it's wait until it hits bargain prices.

from what i've seen, i'm certain the game is going to be good. and if not, i'm still a big enough fan of the lore itself, to play and find out what happens.

I get feelings about games and other such media, how much I personally I might like them. They're rarely wrong. My gut says this is a must play and even if reviews are showing average or terrible scores I'll ignore them in favour of what I know. No one can tell me what I can or cannot enjoy. My decision was made years ago and everything I've seen supports my gut feeling. It's certainly not going to change because of what someone else I've never met says about this game, Bioware or even EA.

I think professional reviews are almost worthless after DA2.
94% PC Gamer anybody.
I'll admit that's a pretty damning assessment.
DA2 is not a 9/10.
I enjoy Angry Joes's reviews - he likes Dragon Age and gave DA2 a 7/10 - i.e. good but with some issues, I thank that's fair.
Folk on Metacritic giving votes of 0 or 1 is also nonsensical.

Most reviews are biased anyway....what one likes another don't like. Anyway we have seen trailers, we have seen what it looks like...we don't need reviews.

I still find them useful, player reviews not professional ones (I lost all trust in them). In the review some guy might write two paragraphs as to why he hates a certain feature of the game. Well I might be thinking to myself that I would love that feature, just as it is. So I might not agree with the reviewer at all, but I can still learn a lot about a game from a player review.
In fact if I go the Metacritic to read player reviews I completely ignore the 9-10 and 1-3 as those are generally made by fanboiz having a love fest or someone who couldn't figure out how to turn their computer on. The others tend to go more into depth on the good and bad, and then I can determine if I think that 'bad' is really bad to me or something I might like or if their 'like' is something I would like or dislike.

I waited until there was a price drop before buying ME3. I had actually preordered the CE, but before actually unboxing it I read some reviews that made me investigate the ending of the game which really turned me off. So I returned the game and just bought a cheap normal edition when the price fell.
And the purpose of reviews I think isn't the bird's eye view of the reviewers score, but the recollection of the viewer's impressions from actually playing the game. Like what they thought about the combat, or the pace of the story, or the quality of the voice acting, or the character development or emotional attachments. There are a lot of important details that get talked about during a review that I find helpful in making a decision.

No. I already pre-ordered it. I really liked DAO and DAII; I replay them often. I have been loving the gameplay videos. In fact, this game is the reason I'm buying a PS4. I'll buy my PS4 a week or two before DA:I releases.
For other games, I will listen to recommendations and read reviews. For instance, I'll probably wait for recommendations for "Witcher 3" before deciding to buy it. Another reason I ask for recommendations is that I can't play 1st person shooters (headaches), so that's something I always check before purchasing.
One game that received great reviews but I didn't really care for was Skyrim. I didn't feel connected to my character. My favorite games are the DA and Fable (1 & 2) series'. Kingdom of Amalur was pretty good too.
