I will watch some, I'll get it launch day though, reviews are more curiosity about reactions.

No. I already have it pre-ordered.  :)

Though I will probably watch Angry joe's review of it ...if he does one.

i preordered, but i'll still watch and read reviews just to see what other people's thoughts are about the game.  reviews don't always determine whether or not i purchase a game.  for the most part, i'll still try a game unless everyone is just saying it's absolutely horrible.  i believe that da2 received pretty good or ok scores.  i played it and beat it once for the story, but i didn't really like it.  if i wasn't a fan of the series, i probably would have skipped on that one.

I decided to buy DA3 after I finished DA2. So no. I know I will like DA:I.

hell no! i'm even planing on upgrading from 360 to PS4 just before DA: I launches. the only Bioware game that has been less than i expected in major aspects was DA II which was understandable and judging from all the gameplay video and interview i have seen these guys deserve support for the heart and the effort they've poured into DA: I

Indeed they do... but they are still walking on thin ice after the turdfest that was DA2. And DA2 makes to desserve no mercy on them at the same time.

I already bring my support with ME entire saga on the 360, and bought origins 2 times on PC (first was hard copy, then ultimate edition on Origin),

As sten said: "from what i've seen, I'm not impressed", the trouble is that BioWare's job is to impress us, I don't expect a "better than DA2" game, DA2 was the second worst "game" ever and NO DECISIONS DIDN'T MATTERED THE ENTIRE GAME. (Alas, a game that is just good for its dlc is not a game, is a "Demo made game".)

I expect a game that brings my faith back on this company, if it fails at that i will refund and no longer support BW in any way. I want anything that DA2 had being removed, most of it has already been handled and I like how it looks overall but...

The script is still on the line

I hope this is handled DA2 story was AWFULL, WHAT KIND OF... (ok i won't insult this time) ... WROTE IT? It was full of whinny useless characters with no willpower, bastardization of cool characters, lore derailment, plotholes, fanfic-esque romances wrote by some untalented fangirl who just wants couple-sex, linear story (not branching anymore? what happened to BG/NW/DAO branching story that added replay value?), useless protagonist (and no is not my ego talking, i've played MDickie games and other independent stuff were you play as an average joe, but Hawke's useless went beyond any NPC one ever created) and no responsive enviroment (reality bending just to "make fit" a linear story doesn't count as responsive).

I expect something better that what they are advertising, not something better than DA2... i expect something better than a "Jagged Alliance Back in Action/The sims Medieval/Dragon Age" combo. If it fails i will just say "you had one job" and take my support elsewhere

I have pre-ordered. There are two things that can happen that would make me wish I hadn't bought the game. First, it's buggier than the typical TES game at first release, which is extremely unlikely. Second, I dislike parts of the story and/or the roleplaying about as much as I dislike them in ME3, which I also find very unlikely and would be unlikely to find in a review anyway. In everything else, I know enough and have known enough for some time.

Yes, if they are from reputable sources, will not bother reading reviews from IGN or similarly reputated gaming media outlets.

Nope, Pre-ordered. Play with it during EA Early Access. Looking like it is going to be a very enjoyable game. Looking forward to sinking a lot of hours into it(when I have free time)

Most reviews are garbage. Both written & youtube (Especially youtube).

My rule is to completely ignore any review with a wishy washy numerical "Score"

Review scores are so stupid. You cannot Define exactly how good a game is, so why have some vague opinionated number slapped onto the bottom?

Oh yeah, so Marketing & Fanboys can spread them across the net like wildfire.

As for the OP. No, I don't need an IGN 10/10 or that Clown Angry Joe and his "Reviews" to inform me about the quality of a game.

MatthewMatosis is IMO the best Critic on the internet & he does not even play Bioware games.

Other good Critics are Errant Signal, SuperBunny Hop & (Especially for Bioware  ) SmudBoy.

Although it will take Smud months to get through his Plot & Character analysis I enjoy them thoroughly so it's worth the wait.

So yeah. I'm taking a leap of faith here but I'm confident Bioware will deliver at least an engaging experience.  :)

im definitely buying the game.. but it probably wont be until release.  1.  because pre-orders are the bane of the video game industry.  and 2.  EA doesnt use a US bank to process transactions, so i am having to use a backwards method to purchase the game.. i cant just go on origin and buy it.

I'll wait for 'player' reviews.  I didn't get DA2 or ME3 and don't regret it a bit.  That was mainly due to playing a demo, player reviews and vids.  For this game I will definitely wait a week or so.  Heck I may even wait a year until it's all patched up and I can buy the GotY bundle on sale.  Not in a real hurry to get it.

So far I do like a lot of what I've seen, but there are other things that already bother me.  So we'll see.

DA2 and ME3 and even SWTOR were all great games for my money. The only big complaint I had was ME3's ending. I preordered this day 1, though i will likely read reviews just to see what people think.

I loved Dragon Age Origins, I liked Dragon Age 2.  Everything I have seen of Inquisition already sold me on the game.  From the twitch streams and the videos on youtube I've already pre-ordered the game.

I really don't see the point with reviews anymore.

the reviews are either done by bought and paid for $$$ like IGN and Game informer that see's some terrible games scoring 7.5-9

or they are done by hipsters that hate virtually everything that sell's well for the purpose of hating things that sell well like metacritic and polygon.

the only thing left was independent youtubers who were honest and open about things showed you gameplay and talked about things that actually matter and now we get this **** from shadow of mordor.

a good game found to be turning you tubers into paid advertising. god know's what the **** games would get up to.

there's no point to any of it anymore.

If i have doubt's I'll wait for let's play's to be posted by it.

watching someone dive into a blind game you see everything, how it looks, how fluid the controls are, difficulty, the glitches, the errors, the gamers frustrations.

but most of all you see the person's reaction if they aren't enjoying it, that's no hidden their reaction especially when streaming is right their unfiltered.

Personally Bioware's promotion of this game has been so honest is one of the reasons i pre-ordered in full months ago.

screenshots are clearly taken straight out of the game. Their not touched up and perfected if theres clipping they put it up.

Pop in's, they put it up. They've talked about things even if its controversial, they've said this is what we're doing and why.

I feel like the development and communications from the team along with even how open the marketing has given me a great insight into what game i can expect.

Positives: unique non repeating areas and open world "areas" with great characters and strong story, lot's of customisation options for gear.

Negatives: Graphics are solid but aren't mind blowing, minor clipping and some pop in's are to be expected, abilities have been cut down and talent tree's streamlined.

Needless to say no review is going to more honest or tell me anything other than this, they'll either be paid to say the story is the greatest thing to walk the earth or they will rubbish it to no end because it isn't "what they thought it would be"

they'll praise the graphics without listing the drawbacks or they will carry on about how they have a top of the end graphics card and complain that it would have been so much prettier if it was PC exclusive and didn't cater consoles.

It's the status quo now, reviews have had their day in the sun, but now real reviews have been replaced by tool's and tossers.

EDIT: and it should also be praised that both Bioware and EA have listened to the Fan's after what they served up with DA2 which was a rushed mess.

Well to be fair it was Total Biscuit who blew the whistle on it and Yahtzee's Review wasn't completely positive and didn't contain all of the stuff that ME:SOM demanded so we know they're clean.

Your right and it's a disservice to lump Total Biscuit in with the rest of them....... for now

Yahtzee I never take serious.

Angry joe accepted the contract, not saying he was necessarily biased but keep that in mind, he accepted fund's on the grounds of talking up the game rather than a give an indepdant review.

He gave it a 7/10, but he certainly pointed out it's faults aplenty.  Plus he can be fun to watch, unfortunately all he cares about now it seems is his Angry Army thing.
