I'm curious about her. She's present on the Citadel while you can check on how's Ashley or Kaidan doing. When Ash/Kaidan becomes a Spectre, Dr. Michel disappears. Is that a bug or is Dr. Michel's role in ME3 that small so she has to be only Ashley/Kaidan's personal doctor? Where does she go after Ashley is recovered? There's not even a single ambient conversation about it.
In my previous runs after I've spoken with Ashley-Spectre I completed Priority: Tuchanka so when I went to the Citadel there was Priority: Citadel II. And when I went to the hospital, I assumed that Dr. Michel was killed in action (like Kelly does if you don't tell her to change name), but right now it doesn't seem to be a reason.
Does everybody recruit her and send Chakwas to War Assets? I like Karin more as a Normandy's doctor but it does look like if I don't recruit Chloe, she isn't available for a friendly chat after Ashley/Kaidan is gone which is unfortunate because I really like her as a character since ME1.
So, Dr. Michel...

I've recruited her. She is more useful than Chakwas, gives you a Medi-Gel upgrade not available otherwise.
And as far as I know, if you interacted with her she's still in the hospital after the Cerberus attack.

I did interact with her. Several times actually. I visited Ashley 3 times and every time I asked Dr. Michel about Ashley's condition. And after Ashley became Spectre (2 missions after Priority: Sur'Kesh), she's not there. I don't know how else I could interact with her. Asking every time about supplies/refugees is boring 'cause she always tells the same thing.

She is just a bit character. Conrad only makes one appearance. Jenna only makes one appearance. Aethyta disappears after the Coup as well. These are filler characters, not worth the resources needed to develop more fully, resources that could be spent on your crew mates' dialogue.

IDK... But thinking back, maybe Doctor Michel was in charge of Kaidan/Ashley's Recovery and when they're gone, there isn't any more need of her in that Hospital... But that fact is wrong, yes, because she even mentions that her place is in the presidium now, in the hospital...
So, I'll go with: They didn't want to develop the Character further.
And about Chakwas: Never sent her to Hackett. Damn, she pleads to me, "Please Commander, let me join you" She was with me right from the start, it would be... I don't know, betrayal...

Exactly. I once tried to convince her to stay but what Shepard said surprised me: "You have to stay in the labs. Hackett and Anderson's order." So, Shepard, literally, lies to her so he can get that other young, pretty doctor with sexy accent. Not cool with me. Or other reasons if you're playing FemShep (or not).
Plus, I remember in ME1 Chloe said that fixing wounded soldiers isn't her idea of fun. But...well...it's what she ends up doing on the Citadel anyway. Maybe if somehow Karin ends up dead in the end of ME2, I will have no choice but to recruit Chloe. But when she's alive, it's always her with me on the Normandy.

Yeah...except that she is part of the main storyline in ME1 (Garrus) and ME3 (Virmire Survivor).

She doesn't say that. She says "Hackett and the Alliance need you."

Well, okay, I got bad memory on quotes. It sounds less sinister.

Well, considering that you don't need to Recruit Garrus and don't need to see the Virmire Survivor to progress the story...

The reason Dr. Michel disappears after the Cerberus Coup is because TIM is a vindictive bastard who never forgets or forgives. Dr. Michel didn't want to keep cooperating with Cerberus in Mass Effect, therefore he has his troops hunt her down in the Citadel Coup in Mass Effect 3.

I never see her again either afterwards. I think the above post sums it up TIM is a real nasty piece of work. I knew that the moment I set the bombs for the Collector base.

Yeah, but she disappears before the coup, so Cerberus likely had nothing to do with it.

^ Like he said. She disappears immediately after final dialogue with Ashley at the Hospital. You can see it even without leaving the Citadel, on your way to an elevator.

I got the medi-gel upgrade from Chakwas. They both contribute a minor amount towards the war assets and IIRC Chakwas is slightly higher.

If Dr.Chakwas is sent to Hackett, the player gets 10 war assets. Dr.Michel contributes nothing for war assets
