Well good lord @Riverdaleswhiteflash! If that is true.. that elvish sucks wallnutz!

 

So, how about the Dragon Age lore / Thedas type elvish? Didn't Merrill begin calling Hawke something like "Lethaline" (and yes my fellow nerds if you have more epic epicness than I do to confirm I spelling it wrong, you are free to correct me!)  on a regular basis, and if so, wasn't that word a kind of colloquial use meaning "friend"?

 

At least something cool like that. Or, hell with it, even the Klingon word for friend would have to be cooler than melons! LOL

 

From the wiki: 'Lethallin; Lethallan (leth-ah-LEEN; leth-ah-LAHN): Casual reference used for someone with whom one is familiar. Lethallin is used for males, while lethallan is used for females. Akin to "cousin" or "clansman" since "lin" is the word for blood.' Also the elvish word for friend is 'Falon', so there's that I suppose!

I'm surprised there was no one who said Ashitaka's Red Elk friend, Yakul, from Princess Mononoke/Mononoke Hime. When I first saw the Hart, I seriously yelled "SWEET! THANKYOU BIOWARE! I CAN RIDE YAKUL!"

 

My Qunari is going for a horse, or simply walk. But my Dalish alt? Totally riding the Hart Halla, and if we can I'm definitely calling him Yakul. Altho... a human could work too. Like Ashitaka, your human is of noble birth. You could RP your character preferred a Halla to a horse. Despite family calling it a filthy creature, and telling you to get a noble steed.
